  1. Everything is costing more as governments around the world look at expenditure and savings. Especially for tourism, as it is seen as a one off cost people are prepared to pay. I.e the new day pass tax in Venice.
  2. Picking up one of the other island ports instead of Noumea is a win IMO
  3. I am not sure that there is an official partnership but yes, they have collaborated in the past.
  4. Thanks, a good recount on where things are at for the various cruises.
  5. Melbourne Demons just lost to West Coast Eagles, that is a surprise.
  6. Not that much of a surprise for the win today, it was against the Roos who are bottom with 0 wins. But yeah, the table is a lot different now than it was 5 games ago.
  7. Butlers in mini briefs? No one wants to see that.
  8. It would have to be the 2nd one, not too many buses on a cruise ship.
  9. If you ever cruise with a butler service, the main thing I have found is that they look for a tip, this is why suites with butler are not my style.
  10. With a few games to be played today, they are likely to be 1st with a 6 point lead (1.5 games).
  11. I suppose it depends on a person's version of luxury. To most of us cruisers, it isn't a luxury cruise line but for someone used to a dinghy, dugout canoe, or ferry it is.
  12. They have done a lot over the years. Some other lines could do easily copy the example, and have similar programs and or partnerships.
  13. Confusion between New Caledonia and Vanuatu, the former has the rioting, and curfew, the latter has no transport home.
  14. Note that I mentioned Orbost more as to being a halfway point, although there are some places on the coast near there that will be nicer and quieter. Lakes Entrance is lovely but higher priced and busier.
  15. Yes, paradise soon becomes prison if you can't enjoy it, and feel trapped.
  16. Perhaps Chiliburn's invisible monkeys can get a bit handsy in the middle of the night.
  17. Agreed. P&O may not be my first choice, and may not be up to the same standards that other lines here can, but it still offers a good cruise experience and serves it's demographic well. Perhaps expectations just need to be adjusted.
