The sniffer dogs do exist, have seen them regularly in the airports both domestic and international and rest assured they are working over the bags before they get onto the carousel as well. It may not be every bag off every plane load but they are screening plenty.

That can happen, especially if you cruise for itinerary. We are jaded with the same itineraries being repeated for years and years, so we travel abroad to the cruises that interest us but they are starting to thin.

I agree, there are always exceptions to the rule, and NCL themselves occasionally apply these exceptions without a prompt from the passenger. Personally having some status on a variety of lines, some perks are nice and some are just marketing and most are not worth chasing with hard earned money.We just cruise as we want for the itinerary and the accumulated status on a line is occasionally providing an added benefit.

We enjoy Eurovision but are quite disappointed that Australia is now competing in it. We didn't mind them doing a song as a spectacle each year but to compete in it like a European country is just ludicrous.
