  1. Just wanted to mention that I spent 4 hours in the ER today with fears that I broke something near my toes on the foot with the ankle surgery. I developed pain,, I mean extreme pain in that area. I could only hobble, not walk. I was thrilled at the results; no fracture but lots of inflammation. So, back to wearing the dreaded boot while walking and ice the area when I don't walk. Next week is a follow up podiatrist visit to see what will be next. ER doc said it's common with post foot surgical patients when they attempt to walk after being non weight bearing for 6 weeks as I was. BTW the ER doc never looked or touched my foot. I only took my shoe off for the xrays and put it back on immediately after. I guess the xrays told the whole picture. No more torture PT sessions until after the Podiatrist follow up visit.
  2. Did I read mahjongg??? I mentioned in Friends of Bella's thread, or the roll call thread awhile back that I would buy a mahjong set and bring it with me to play on the Bella cruise. The problem is this thread is the go to thread for practically all of us. Dani, I will try very hard to post all future Bella cruise comments either in the roll call thread or the Friend's of Bella thread as you once suggested. I just couldn't resist since I saw the mahjong comment in here.
  3. I received a text a few moments ago SUPPOSEDLY from Chase advising me to click on the link they provided to confirm or deny a charge made in Baton Rouge, LA. As if..................... At least, every word was spelled correctly. 😏
  4. I am so sorry for what you are going through with your mom. She raised an exceptional son. Hugs to you ((((((( Lucas))))))))
  5. Great menu. We'll have to visit next time we're in Galveston. Have you been to the Buc-ees in Melissa on 75? Quick trip when we lived in Allen. There's one in Ft. Worth also. For good reason.
  6. Cleanest restrooms and the best bbq sandwiches. Walking along The Strand and Seawall is a treat I hope you won't miss. What hotel are you staying in? Hope you're pleasantly surprised at the food on Liberty. Enjoy every moment!
  7. Yom Huledet Sameach to your grandson. What a sweet and proud smile! I was just about to post that but saw you beat me to it. Hope @LuckynanaMaryann will post soon and let us know what a good time they had.
  8. Robyn, hi! Do you think he does that for everyone? πŸ™‚ Have a great upcoming b2b cruise.
  9. If dynamics worked for us, we would hop on a plane to cruise for 4 nights in a NY (TX) minute! You and Lisa HAD to take this cruise to experience another Over the Rainbow moment.
  10. My ex-Brooklyn BIL became an instant Mets fan when his beloved Dodgers abandoned Brooklyn for California. His son followed and named his dog Shea to honor Shea Stadium.
  11. I vaguely remember that show. I loved the show where his office was in a garage? Maybe Vegas? Unfortunately, he died all too young.
  12. @h20skibumMark, so sorry to hear you said your final goodbye to Lucy. May she RIP and may you be comforted in the joy she brought to your family.
  13. The original Love Boat Show was instrumental in opening up cruise industry popularity. It was an iconic show, and we welcomed the cast into our homes and looked forward to seeing them every week. I don't watch much TV now but watching a re-do of one of my favorite shows would not be on my agenda. Capt. Stubing - stern with a heart of gold Julie - perky Doc = womanizer from the get go Isaac - fun guy, best smile Gopher - cute as a button And, nobody can sing the opening Love Boat song like Jack Jones. Nobody,
  14. Whenever I hear Over the Rainbow, I will be thinking of your precious Allie. Here's to many loving rainbows.
  15. Happy Anniversary! Wishing you many more wonderful celebrations. @dani negreanuDani, your friends pictures are lovely. How special to maintain relationships for so many years and YES, Israelis are open and friendly. Jack is still in touch with his school and army friends. They share a history and a bond that is amazing.
  16. Greg, spectacular review! I too thought you are now getting off the ship. Will you do a review of your upcoming Liberty cruise? As far as the cabanas, isn't there a limit to how many can rent one?
  17. Seems like Texas or at least the Dallas area is still having the best weather. Still low to mid 80s, bright sunshine. Sure beats what I've been reading in here but at least @LuckynanaMaryann is on a cruise! Hope the weather gets better for everyone and that Maryann is having a fabulous cruise in spite of the wet weather. Maryann, your mention of lobster roll reminds me of Island Lady, Pat and her Maine vacations. Oh those lobster and lobster rolls! Sure hope she and bucky are well and busy cruising.. I miss her posts.
  18. Following for sure. Have a fabulous cruise. I see pictures of Owen periodically on Dani's thread and still can't believe how he's grown. Handsome and tall! And, I finally got to see pictures of Lucy with her eyes open. She sure loves her naps.
  19. Debbie, I am so sorry your MIL is so difficult. Must be very hard on Eric to see his mother so uncaring. She won't change and thankfully the children have loving parents. No worries about venting. It's allowed in here, honest!
  20. @George C George you have my condolences on the loss of your beloved mother. It sounds like she led a life well lived. What a blessing.
