  1. You're allowed. Honest! Oh, those fabulous NJ diners! No visit to NJ is complete without eating in a diner. I think we've eaten in just about every diner in Bergen County. When we lived in Rockland County, we had quite a few but The Park Ridge diner in NJ was our go to place for a great meal. Second best was the Blauvelt diner less than 10 minutes from where we lived. Nanuet diner when shopping at the mall. @HBE4, know what I'm talking about?
  2. I've never been to Katz's. Too large and touristy. We had great neighborhood delis much closer to where we lived. I never had White Castle burgers. I remember WaWa discussion in here before. I never ate in one. I don't recall ever seeing one.
  3. Very moving and well deserved funeral for Her Majesty The Queen. You could see the grief in The King's face. An amazing tribute to a Queen well loved and admired the world over.
  4. Happy Anniversary to both of you. Wow on the spectacular pictures. Continue to enjoy! Great food, beautiful weather and amazing sites to visit. AND this is pre-cruise!
  5. Sorry, Dani, I thought I was on the roll call. Very weird that the poster I responded to did not post in here. I have no idea how it got here but still my bad.......slinking away in shame.
  6. Thanks for the info. I just looked up the hotel with tax and parking, the rate is $433. They charge $32 for parking. Are the exorbitant rates for airlines and hotels because of Spring Break? Oops, sorry, I thought I was on Bella's thread.
  7. Of course! I was talking about restaurants. My son in law's 94 year old grandmother is Italian, lives independently and is a wonderful cook. When my daughter, SIL and kids came here for a visit you better know I NEVER made one Italian dinner.
  8. Olive Garden>>>>blech, my opinion. The best Italian food is a mom and pop owned restaurant, not a chain. Eddy's Pizza Restaurant in Plano on 15th St., near Custer is a favorite but haven't been there in quite a while. Katz's deli in NY ships! My friend surprised me with a pastrami lunch. Sublime, although I prefer my pastrami more thinly cut.
  9. I stand by my previous post. Food is subjective no matter who likes it or doesn't. Sorry, folks. I promise this will be my last Sorrentos post.
  10. I can recall every single M*A*S*H episode in my sleep. You can view the last episode on you tube. Such a wonderful blend of humor and compassion. The last episode shown on TV was "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen. The last show actually filmed was The Time Capsule. I had the pleasure of speaking with Loretta Swit (hot lips) on the phone when she appeared at a trade show where Jack was exhibiting. Jack saw her, called me and asked her if she could say a few words to me. She was kind, gracious and said the cast was truly a family. However, before she took the phone from Jack, she asked "who the he!! (Ls) are you? 🤣 I've learned that rolling knit like material and placing plastic between folded articles of clothing cuts down on wrinkles, plus I always pack a can of Wrinkle Guard and Tide "pen" to remove stains. My most important item is my comfy down pillow. It goes with me wherever I sleep.
  11. @Jimbo I made your Pasta Fagioli soup. It was a hit with both me and Jack. I can see why you had to transfer double ingredients to a large pot. I have quite a bit left over so glad I halved the recipe. Just made a salad to go with it and it was a perfect dinner for two not so terribly hungry people. AND, hardly any clean-up using slow cooker liners.
  12. I might agree but I think the Queen's funeral will be watched more globally. JFK's funeral was not as globally watched. I always wondered what Jackie did to keep her young children so quiet while standing such a long time next to her. John John was only 3.
  13. I thought about his uniform as well. I agree You're right. He served twice in afghanistan. I guess it's up to the King and/or Prince of Wales to determine dress protocol.
  14. So will Harry. Last minute change. David Beckham stood in line for a very long time to pay his respects passing the Queen's coffin. Seems like he's an ok guy.
  15. Congrats on your granddaughter's making the team. Mark Cuban = Good ole Dallas boy! Happy 65th birthday! Ice cream cakes are delicious. What kind of homemade cake will your wife bake? I have to tell you, Greg, that your anticipation, expectation pre-cruise is always totally delightful. I remember the picture you posted on board Explorer, standing with your arms wide open. It was your first cruise after cruising resumed. Never lose that sense of wonder.
  16. Love that song! Thanks for the head's up on the correct pronunciation of Micheline's name. Like most, I always thought it was pronounced Misheleen. Looking forward to reading about your wonderful cruise and land stays. Smooth travels and sails to both of you.
  17. Add me to the list of picture takers. I read yesterday that the line of people waiting to pay their respects is approx. 3 miles long! Jack came to Israel from Poland when he was 2. He doesn't know how to swim and majority of my friends Israeli husbands don't either. That is way weird. So sorry he got ill on your cruise. Sounds like you didn't get the proper response from RCI you were entitled to.
  18. Jack is the same way. We don't have timers but he still would feel the same way. Actually, I agree with him. Oh, I remember it well. 😢 @A&L_Ont Andrew, congrats to Owen for making the HS football team!
  19. Quite a few months ago. I only posted it on the Oasis thread. We're glad also! I want to make it in the crockpot which has limited space and clean up is a breeze with crock pot liners. Thank you!
  20. We re-booked the Bella cruise in March that we previously cancelled. I posted the good news on our roll call but not sure how many in here visit that thread. I'm so anxious to meet everyone!! Jack is even getting "cruise fever"!
