  1. The $16 Explorer pass includes the cost of the Myki card - $6 (full cost) for card and $10 for travel. If you didn't purchase the Explorer pack, to use public transport you would still have to purchase a Myki card. If you have an Australian pensioner's concession card, the cost of purchasing the Myki card is $3 for a concession and the same price for a child -Purchase a Myki Card Fares - Myki Fares
  2. Good suggestions. Are you suggesting an overnight along the Great Ocean Road? If not, Warrnambool would be as far as I would travel on one day. The road from Warrnambool to Portland even though a highway is not in really in good condition so it would be a slower trip. Warrnambool to Mount Gambier is a nice drive. A stop at Portland is worthwhile particularly if interested in history. For Sydney, my favourite ferry trip is to Manly rather than Watson's Bay.
  3. Thanks Mic, he plays in the top grade for U17s in AFL South East. His team is second but are short of players due to injury and the Coates Talent League where three boys play if selected.
  4. Swans are away to Brisbane at the Gabba this afternoon. I’ll do the scores for a while but I’m going out to watch grandson’s game in an hour.
  5. Thanks Mic for the scores. I'm a bit off colour, so was snoozing this afternoon so I can manage to watch the Bombers v Dees match tonight.
  6. This link maybe of help - Sydney Airport Hotels
  7. I did a google search too. It wasn't what I expexted!
  8. It’s a constant gripe from the locals in most tourist areas I think. I know people moving into the towns on Victoria’s Surf Coast have trouble renting as all the former long term rentals have become short term rentals. There have been reports of people who are badly needed in towns such as nurses, teachers etc just can’t find a place to live.
  9. You are correct Mic. Scores have been updated. But very odd to not have correct score on app.
  10. Swans away to the Saints this afternoon at Marvel Stadium -
  11. I would suggest catching a ferry across to the village of Devonport where there are plenty of walking trails, beaches and outdoor activities. You could walk from the Devonport ferry terminal to the summit of North Head/Maungauika which has some amazing views of Auckland.
  12. I agree Claire, travelling from a bayside suburb, we use Beach Rd/Brighton Rd/Jacka Blvd/Beaconsfield Pde/Beach St/The Blvd/Todd Rd around onto the Westgate Bridge/Freeway regularly. If the OP and their group all travel to Hertz, the Montague Street exit onto the Westgate is probably easier to use for them.
  13. What website says what is not found?
  14. I haven't been to Santo but suggest you ask your questions on the Australia & New Zealand Cruisers board where you are more likely to get answers. I have been to Port Vila a number of times and the excursion you are proposing sounds perfect. Enjoy your cruise.
  15. Yorkey's Knob and Port Douglas - it is possible the same company is used but likely not. Airlie Beach definitely not. You go to different parts of the reef. It is roughly seven hundred kilometres between Airlie Beach and Port Douglas. Your experiences are likely to be similar though. I would suggest that you choose one port to go to the reef and do other activities on the other two days. Below are links to the reef companies' pontoons/platforms - From Airlie Beach - Pontoon from Airlie Beach From Yorkey's and Port Douglas - Great Barrier Reef Activity Platform - Great Adventures Cruises | Great Adventures Quicksilver Group Platform Reef Magic Pontoon
  16. Sorry, you didn't know it was the rainy season in far north Queensland in March. It is also cyclone season. Who did you expect to tell you? Perhaps a little research prior to booking the cruise and excursions would have helped.
  17. Easily done Mic. Hope you are enjoying your travelling. I was home but busy so didn't watch the game.
  18. The Swans played GWS late this afternoon at GWS home ground Engie Stadium. The final scores were Swans 15.12.102 d GWS 11.9.75,
