  1. Pasta is a side choice to delicious meals. My wife had broccoli instead. Prime rib, steaks, etc were much better than Royal.
  2. Did you read my review of our May cruise on the Seaside. Looked at through the eyes of someone with nearly 50 Royal cruises. Bottom line: beautiful ship that is very clean; friendly staff; great food in MDR and buffets; anything and everything we asked for onboard was granted with a smile. We did miss our 5 daily drinks but mostly because we use them for water to drink during the day. Only spent about $30/day on booze and the lower cruise price made up for that.
  3. Status match doesn’t get you any free drinks like on Royal. Don't see much that it offers.
  4. Or reach beside or behind you and fill your own glass. Without buying by the bottle your glass will be empty often. The waitstaff is too busy to keep it full.
  5. So your weak theory is that they will clean it all up spic and span, and then let it all go to hell again? How ridiculous is that.
  6. So what? Do you stop going to your favorite restaurant at home because they had a low score last month, but the reinspection is a 90? Mountain being made out of a mole whole.
  7. Because that's not accurate, sir. And if anyone became ill after/during that cruise how do you know that they were not infected in an elevator, from a railing, or any of a multitude of more likely possibilities.
  8. Exactly. So no one got sick from the low score on Seaside. Because the score is a snapshot in time. Corrections began immediately and a reinspection the next day would probably be 100%.
  9. How was their last health department cleanliness report? Must be filthy!
  10. What date please. I would take a free cruise any day! On a cot in guest services would be fine.
  11. 50 cruises and yes, ended up naughty room. Scotch in sunscreen bottle not allowed. I said "but look at my tan!"
  12. On Seaside, yes. Other cards (Royal, gift card, cc will not work.)
  13. She entered it on a computer, not a cell phone. Wonder if that makes a difference. Some peep can't get it to work but not "nobody." We talked to several onboard who also entered their card online. CC # and person's name must match. I would try it again but that's just me.
  14. She says that during check in it asked to register a cc. Once onboard we checked at a machine with the help of staff cause I wasn't sure we did it right. Machine showed $250 balance and employee said: "oh yes you can validate card online and skip the machine." We spent over the %250 and the difference was a charge on card w_o any staff interaction. Easy peasy.
  15. My wife handled it as part of the check-in process. I will get the details and come back to let you know.
