  1. Doesn't matter what has worked in the past, in other cabins or other lines. The ship will provide instructions with the time to put the bags out. Follow the instructions provided, not what social media says.
  2. My upgrade in the APP is for 18.99 per guest per day. But my cruise is very soon.
  3. This is no different than Celebrity changing the cruise fare between the time you bought the "FCC" and when you went to book your cruise later. Fares change.
  4. What about them is "not worth it"? They provide a reduced deposit for non-suite cabins, right? Maybe a little OBC, right? They didn't create any extra costs or reduce the cruise experience, right? I'd rather pay a lower deposit for bookings a year + out.
  5. You're kidding right? Well, next time...go cheaper and you'll get the better spots. Geebus.
  6. Viator sells tix for this. They often offer 10%+ cash back on Rakuten. That can be significant cash back given the price.
  7. Yeah, was excited for this. Right up to when I read this, "fueled by non-stop, DJ-spun beats. ". Some chill Jimmy Buffett at a low volume would suffice. I understand its been discussed, but just booked a trip that has it in the planner. Hard pass.
  8. I'll give it a go.... Not a beach person Not interested in activities or excursions there... Hhhhhmmmm.... Nope, no reason to spend time there. Duh.
  9. And, if I may suggest, this is one of those reasons to have a quality travel agent. So many times folks ask why, or state there is no need for one. But, having someone with contacts in the company and who can go to bat for you is a reason to have one. Kinda like insurance, you don't need it until you need it. Ok, wasn't done rambling, but am done now. 🙂
  10. But still, they need documentation of the charge so they can file on their trip insurance. I don't think the OP is upset at the charge as much as not having documentation so they can file with the insurance. We had a relatively small medical issue on board once. Didn't get the documentation and it was nearly impossible to get that information after. I realize in this case the fee was charged weeks later. But furthers my point of not leaving the ship until you have the documentation you need to file claims later. You may never get it after the fact. And again, I understand this doesn't exactly fit my point, but is a great example. Done rambling
  11. On Saturday, the farmers market in the park by Holey is off the charts.
  12. Oh my gawd...yes. A dozen...wow. Holey Donuts are pretty heavy, that would be rough on my stomach. But good.
  13. This is what we do. Check out 4 right away. Never check them back until before dinner last day. Always exchange. Use dry towels to roll up your wet swimwear then lay it down and walk on rolled up towel. Unroll and your swimwear is almost dry. Proceed to get fresh towels on next trip up to pool.
  14. You also need to consider how long it will take to get off the ship and into port, given it is a tender port. It can take quite a while longer than a pier. May go quick, but it may not.
  15. Yes, they can be finicky. I can say we've redeemed over $1k of OBC with them, never spent $1 on the game. Knowing the T&Cs are important. My biggest issues have been booking more that 1 year and booking more than 2 in one year. But those are in the T&Cs usually. FYI, I have found that some rewards have/had different T&Cs than other rewards offered at the same time. Didn't make sense, but help my TA get OBC applied for me once.
  16. Our winning bid was a bit higher. I don't think we went much over minimum. Our trip is in September.
  17. Thanks for the link. But... are the benefits different due to us using MoveUp? I honestly don't know the rules for that.
  18. What a shock, we just had our MoveUp offer accepted for our upcoming Mariner trip. We move from a Junior Suite to an Owner's Suite. This will likely be a one time thing. I'm sure this has been addressed ad nauseam, but I'm not good at the search function on CC. So, here goes. Since we were JS, we still get 2x points, right? I know on Mariner there is no CK, but we've never been higher than JS, so are there any added benefits? Lounge access? Concierge access? We previously purchased a dining and drink package so just trying to make sure what we need to do with them. I don't think we pick up benefits, but I need to be sure. Anything else we should know about our new-found cabin?
  19. Hey.... who gave you permission to take a picture of my clock? LOL Just kidding. But, it was heavy. They delivered it to the cabin in a box. Then we put luggage tags on it and had it out with the other suitcases. And it arrived in the terminal no problem. Then we had a porter take it to our car. He was well compensated for that. Ironically, we also had two pieces from glassblowing we had to get off the ship. Fortunately, we drove to the port. It is now on proud display in our house.
