So true! We don't travel with any children, so I forget about all the little add-ons that others might want. I imagine the list for a family's wants can be quite daunting (and costly)!

NCL's website can be confusing!!! Many cruisers use terms picked-up from other cruise lines, so sometimes that can make things easily misunderstood. It's often the little things that can be daunting. Therefore, I try to fill my time between home, family time, and travel with navigating NCL..LoL! Your posts always make me smile!

Laura, my apologies for my mistaken post. Hopefully the account clips give you a better understanding of how to get what you want to pre-book. However, I don't recall there being a place to enter your CC info for ONBOARD purposes until you do your actual CHECK-IN at 21 days! Ask if you have further ???s

So, true, definitely a misunderstanding on my part!
-
Many of those things are not done via CHECK-IN! I hope this (below) helps!!! However: 1) Log into your account. 2) View Reservation. 3) Select Explore and Plan. See below... (Notice some of the items below are where you may pre-purchase things you have listed!) 3) 36Spa & Thermal Suite 13Internet & Photo Packages 90Gifts & More

Pre-Covid, we all could Pre-Register for upcoming cruises. Sadly, Covid changed our lives in this area as well! NOBODY can pre-register on NCL before the 21 Day pre-cruise period has commenced. Not even the Pre-cruise concierge will be able to help you with that!

Just a note of caution: NCL tends to have "NON" and "Refundable" on separate lines on their Amenities Invoice. You might want double-check yours to be certain. 😉

Correct!

NCL ON-BOARD CREDIT CERTIFICATE
ggTexasGal replied to greatestvalue's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
@BirdTravels Is correct! Just note: If any REFUNDABLE OBC remains on your account, you will be directed to receive your CASH refund, within 24 hours of disembarkation, at the Guest Services desk! -
Which Option is Best to Book the Prima?
ggTexasGal replied to greatestvalue's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Two things: 1) No matter how obtained, NCL allows only $1000 OBC per stateroom (Refundable/Non-Refundable). 2) If your OBC is REFUNDABLE, you may "cash-out" within 24 hours of disembarkation. (In fact, they insist!) -
Onboard credit vs pre cruise purchase
ggTexasGal replied to cusematt4's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You would only be able to get CASH by going to the casino and paying their fee to cash-out, OR, wait until 24 hours of disembarkation and cash-out at Guest Service Desk!!! -
You would most likely be told to obtain cash in the Casino (for a fee), until 24 hours prior to disembarkation!
-
If you pre-purchase NCL OBC, you will immediately need to pay for it at time of purchase! If you do not spend the entire OBC while onboard your cruise, you will need to go to GUEST SERVICES to obtain your refund in CASH within 24 hours of disembarkation! (As always, NCL rules are subject to change!)

@zzdoug Hopefully your arrangements work well for you. If so, that seems like a sweet deal. However, because of the OP's 2 week stay post cruise, they can only hope to get good NCL arranged airfare to Barcelona. @doolfan The actual flight details would not be available to you until much closer to the cruise date (Currently, approximately 30-45 days seems to be normal).

Getting refund if cruise becomes cheaper?
ggTexasGal replied to stephanieonacruise's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Call NCL and ask. However, you will NOT get a "cash refund". You might be offered an upgrade (if available) for additional costs. Or, possibly, an Onboard Credit (NON-REFUNDABLE). -
We have been on over 2 dozen NCL cruises and I cannot recall ever seeing MAINE LOBSTER in any of the restaurants. The small tails they UPSELL are not likely what you desire!
-
You may cancel up to 121 days prior (don't wait until day 120 prior). Therefore, mid-November. https://www.ncl.com/about/payment-schedule

Welcome Aboard Premium Plus Photo Package
ggTexasGal replied to masterty's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We feel that they take some great pictures, but I only ordered just the small package. We received: 1x FREE Light Up Frame (fun), 2x FREE Photo Lanyards with Charms (actually pretty nice), 1x Welcome Aboard Photo, 1x Route Map with Welcome Aboard Photo. We are happy with our purchase. Your package should include your selection of 8 total photos that you allow them to take during your cruise. When embarking, stop for that photo to be taken! Then, the others could be during port stops, and/or during meals or events... your choices of eight photos total included in that price. You might choose to have them take more than 8, but your package includes 8 photos for the price. Others that you might want to purchase would be at their current price. (We did not ask about the price, since we only had the one photo only taken.) -
Thank you for confirming! I don't like giving outdated info. We have not received any for recent cruises, so I thought that perhaps they ended the practice. (Not that we needed them, but they might "feel reassuring"!)
