I like the Jewel-class, and the Away-class ships! But, if I were traveling with teens, I would choose the Getaway for the added activities available, and more space to roam.
When we lived in Spring, I used to drive to Atascocita often. Despite the Grand Parkway completion, I no longer bother anymore. DH and I are both originally from the mid-west, so I understand!
If you wish to cancel, call NCL. Or, you can cancel when you embark. We've cancelled reservations and replaced with alternate restaurants immediately after we've embarked.
I've never heard of Splash Academy having a "Recess kids club/soft play." But, it does seem that NCL has had family play time available, so perhaps that is what you are looking for.
It would be quite helpful is if you could see current Freestyle Daily for your ship (there might be information there for you to see).
Maybe someone could possibly help by posting EPIC Freestyle Daily(s).
