  1. The frustrating part of cruising is how easily things can change without prior notice. However, if you did not take any NCL sponsored Shore Excursions, they would only owe you any funds for excursions that you had pre-purchase, but had ended-up being cancelled. Just like Non-Refundable OBC would not entitle you to any refunds!
  2. They are both correct in what they stated. You just need to use your perks in the best way possible. The main thing is that, recently, the "Platinum certificates" rules changed. Therefore there are fewer restrictions! They can help you at the Host/Hostess desk(s) if you are still uncertain about the order you need to use your perks! If you were not billed anything when you booked your restaurants, you should not have a problem, unless you order outside of the "one Starter, one Main, and a dessert" rules that some wait staff use. (Even then, there have been people who have stated that they were not charged any extra.)
  3. NCL policy is to charge you more IF the price of the rooms have changed since you booked and IF, your booking type has changed. By "booking type" I mean that NCL has been running very similar "sales", but with variations in their coding. It MIGHT be possible to get the change made sometime in the future, without any additional costs, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  4. This should not present a problem to you onboard, since you can use either FAS or Latitudes in almost every restaurant now (since the rules changed recently)!
  5. Yes, REFUNDABLE OBC can be cashed-out. Be sure to get that done before end-of-day on last day at sea ... NOT end of cruise!
  6. Perhaps availability of excursions are limited on your cruise due to timing. If you are close to cruise date, things could be sold-out. If your cruise is more than 6 months in the future, excursions might not be added yet. I am able to see excursions from Harvest Caye available for a January 2023 cruise. However, I did NOT find any listing for a ferry. They possibly have already sold-out, or, are not offered online. I can't honesty say, since we have never tried to leave HC for any excursions.
  7. You "should be able" to find these links in your reservation on My NCL. PremiumBevPkg 9-22.pdf PremPlusBevPackage 9-22.pdf
  8. I'm not sure if this exists for everyone, but, on our Confirmations, listed below TOTAL PAYMENTS APPLIED (and before Cancelation Fee Schedule and *** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***) there is a list of our included perks, which are spelled-out (not just codes). They are under a heading bar "Add-ons".
  9. You should be able to get cartons of "FLOW" water, or bottles of sparking/still waters at most bars, as well as, at restaurants.
  10. We have enjoyed cruises on each of those three ships. Of the three, the Sun was our least favorite because of a few different lay-out issues. (Things such as Dexddd stated above!) While the Sun is oldest, yet, I don't believe that is one of the factors. None-the-less, IF the itinerary is WOW, we'd base our decision solely on that factor!!!
  11. 🙃If your bidding for a Princess upgrade, it does not matter on NCL posts!
  12. Thankyou for warning others! Sorry that YOU found-out the hard way.
  13. That's good news for solos, if the ships haven't started enforcing some things.
  14. NCL has changed the rules for use of vouchers. For cost cutting measures, NCL has decided to make some limitations. You, as a Solo traveler, have access to 2 Latitudes specialty dining meals during a cruise of 5 days or longer. Anyone with whom you choose to dine, is on their own for "how" their meal will be paid! The one area of restriction that NCL has removed is "where" the vouchers may be used!
  15. The link below might give you a better "feel" for GSC (Plus some other things with NCL) - - https://view.ceros.com/ncl/latitudesmagazinefall2022/p/2?cheetahid=5000005580678&mi_u=5000005580678&cid=EM_MKL_LTM_PGU_EML_cta_EML_LATMAG_LATNEWS091722
  16. Originally (years ago), the plans were to have Haven accommodations on GSC. However, over the years, NCL has turned towards more "revenue generating" plans. Which means that those seeking a HAVEN-like experience at GSC, will need to book and pay for a VILLA in Silver Cove. A few reviews of Silver Cove have been posted. Generally, you can find them in: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/308-private-islands/
  17. Maybe this will help you a little: (NOTE: It is almost two years old!) https://www.cruzely.com/ultimate-guide-to-harvest-caye-belize-norwegians-private-island-tips-map-and-things-to-do/
  18. They will certain expect you to go to your Muster Station to "Check In"! Once you have done that (only a few minutes of your time) you are free to go about your day. However, it is still possible that you'll have to watch the video (yet again) once you are in your room.
  19. First come, first served! Therefore, being in the Haven helps, as long as you take one of the first available tenders!
