  1. Agreeing with @hallux! This might actually be your better option for what you are planning.
  2. Not all ships have a Haven (such as Sun, Star, Sky and Dawn).
  3. If the Category starts with "S", it is a Suite, Haven Suites start with H.
  4. We have not been on the Joy, but do know that there is no spa (since the ship was built for cruises with the Asian market.)
  5. The NCL Promo codes are placed on you account by NCL! The codes can vary from Promo to Promo, therefore, you would need to check your invoices and compare the codes with the ongoing list. (Also, many of your promos will show up as "spelled out" line items listed on your invoices. Ours usually show lower on the first page, but, yours could be on page 2.)

  7. That is a Villa! GSC also has cabanas... open wooden structures, in a different area, without the perks of Silver Cove!
  8. If you purchase any, check to make certain they have not already been activated/have any funds available!!! I've never seen NCL's listed on AARP. Nor can we purchase at Kroger like we are able to purchase Carnival's.
  9. NCL gift cards can be problematic because of their Terms and Conditions. Therefore, even discounted, (if you find any) they have One Year from activation "countdown" without monthly fees! https://www.ncl.com/giftcard/terms

  13. I can't say with absolute certainty about the Sun! However, we had Aft-Facing Penthouse on the SKY (Dec 2022) and we were invited to Cagney's for Breakfast and Lunch each day. Dinner is whichever place you choose with FAS/Latitudes/pay.

  15. Are Cabanas still available. They are priced lower, due to differences in location and amenities. (Totally different experience! But, maybe an option.)
  16. The Thermal Spa passes should be available (if not sold-out) when logged into your account. Bookable items are listed on the left-hand side (scroll down under the NCL logo). The Daily Service Charge covers "tips", unless you wish to give cash tips onboard.
  17. True is only the Premium package was purchased. However, above discussion is referring the the Premium Plus package, which does include each of the perks listed by @nonchalant_muse!

(link below) https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions Please consider purchasing a separate meal package for your mother, since sharing (most likely) will create a charge at each Specialty restaurant.

  20. You do not need to provide any additional tip (which are covered by the Daily Service Charges). However, if you feel that your server provided excellent, timely, service, you may wish to add a tip.
