  1. Cabanas, not cabins. If you search around thebowrd, there are dozens of threads about cabanas. Many, including us like the aft facing cabanas as the moving air is important in warm climates. Others like the ocean view. We had one once (out of 7 cruises with cabanas) and have never booked one again. Bar service in the cabanas is handled very well by the cabana attendants. Otherwise, the Crow's Nest bar is forward on the same deck. On N. Amsterdam, the nearest restroom is just outside the Crow's Nest.
  2. Welcome to Cruise Critic! I doubt booking through a TA matters, but best to ask this on the Princess board.
  3. 1. Google search the Port Everglades port schedule. I think they release the schedule 2 weeks out. But no need, really...the assignments are posted at all entrances. 3. Uber/Lyft is a good choice. Also check the Florida Departures board for shuttle options and MIA hotel ideas.
  4. Part of the reason there isn't another flight to put you on is that the other flights are full. That is one of the common myths about flying..."if I miss this flight I can catch the next one" as if there is ALWAYS available seats on "the next one". Airlines schedule their flights, both in frequency and size of plane, to run them as full as possible. To be honest, I think what you perceive as "normal"...a very vague and subjective term...is never coming back. Covid changed the world in many ways...this is collateral damage.
  5. Not sure that all cruise lines get the same fare deals ...it may depend on the size of ships, thus number of possible pax, or similar considerations. Not aware that cruise line airfares are truly public knowledge...thus a website wouldn't be able to collect that info off the web.
  6. You typically will see what nights are dressy nights in the Navigator app a couple of days prior to boarding. There are many threads here where people provide their itineraries and we deduce what days are dressy nights.
  7. @euro cruiserasks some very good questions. Assume you will be traveling back to NJ? Are you willing to book a private transfer? There are many threads here on flights out of FCO. I just wrote a detailed one a week ago.
  8. Uber/Lyft. Taxi. Cruise line transfer. If you want to get more adventurous, public transit. Many discussions on the board.
  9. Change happens. Flight schedule changes pre Covid also happened. There is already a thread here about the "massive" schedule changes that really weren't so massive. Some because of staffing issues. Some because demand in some markets hasn't returned, like Asia. Some for other reasons, like, as mentioned people can Zoom as effectivelyas meet customersface to face..
  10. Do what interests you!! Check the excursions being offered to identify the popular sites and activities. Research on the San Juan port board to see about private tour opportunities and the ways to do it on your own.
  11. I would ask on the board for the cruise line, as it's a cruise line policy.
  12. I could be wrong, but I don't know that HAL stops there often. So they may have limited contracted vendors to use. They may need to set up relationships with other CCL cruise line vendors. In other words, it may take some time. You may also be advised of additional tours when you board the ship.
  13. If the safety situation was bad, they would cancel the stop before putting security on tours.
  14. The MAIN reason for the Victoria stop is for the ship to meet legal requirements of the PVSA for a stop outside the US on a round trip US port cruise. Not to meet Canadian Immigration rules.
  15. Yes...but that is AFTER the fact. I don't think that the OP was asking about after the fact.
  16. I doubt you will notice any movement in 7117. Either will be no problem.
  17. Customs IS NOT an issue. The ship will handle any Immigration issues.
  18. If you do a little map work, you will see some rental car companies are on the main road between Lahaina and Ka'anapali, 1 or 2 are actually in Ka'anapali. Pre-Covid, there was one on the eastern side of Lahaina (you come ashore on the western side of Lahaina). If you can find that one, it would be the closest.
  19. All beaches in Hawaii are public beaches...so no pass from a hotel required. Chairs etc will be rented from the hotels on the beaches. Restrooms will be on the path, or in the resorts. Food and drink will be purchased in the resorts, or in the Wailea shopping area, which is a ways away.
  20. Try Rome in Limo. They operate in Florence and surrounding areas. Huge thread just down the board. Viator is a broker, not a provider. While that can result in lower prices, it can also result in problems if you need to communicate with them, or have an issue. Use recommended local vendors instead. You are starting the process a little late. Good luck!
  21. If you look on the Northern Europe board, those ports are discussed daily.
  22. Actually, that info is probably considered proprietary, and thus no websites would be able to assemble it.
  23. Did you see the answers on the West Coast Departures board ( the appropriate board for this question) or ask on the Celebrity board?
