  1. Yep...they definitely can. Last year's weather has nothing to do with this year's. You can Google search (try, for example, "Santorini August weather) for factual data, as opposed to anecdotal.
  2. As @Essiesmom, some special pricing or OBC don't allow combining with other OBCs. The stockholder's OBC has not been discontinued.
  3. The very common statement here about booking guarantees is book at the minimum level you will be happy at. If you did that, you got nothing to worry about.
  4. This is called a guarantee booking, or a " GTY booking". What category did you book into? Do you know anything about insides on HAL? I assume you took the GTY booking because it was cheaper, right? Yes, it's possible you could end up in the smallest, lowest level inside cabin. You consented to that when you accepted the booking option. If you booked a higher level inside GTY, you won't end up in the cheapest inside.
  5. Without providing the route/islands stopped at, we can't help you, without us having to look up the itinerary.
  6. An award seat is one purchased with miles or whatever reward currency that airline uses. For United it is "miles", other airlines have other names and earning systems.
  7. You don't have to use Verifly anywhere. We didn't on our 3 cruises this year, and didn't really have any hassles boarding.
  8. Yes, it could be cold, windy, and have rough seas. Or it may not. It's still early Spring in the Northwest, mid-Spring in San Francisco.
  9. When are you going? At 1pm it might be quite warm. Taking the train over is commonly discussed here...seems pretty easy.
  10. Totally agree. Including booking two Saver Awards flights for next summer, to Europe, about two weeks after the seats came out. I monitor these things closely, and determine the trends when (if) discounted Award seats are released.
  11. New room key? Not sure why you would need a new room key? You will get the perks if you make it on days alone. If you need spending points, you won't get the perks on that cruise.
  12. And please don't write in all caps. It is considered yelling, and not allowed under Cruise Critic rules.
  13. There is nothing wrong with the ES location. And if they still have the live music during the Manager's Reception some nights, the vibe is excellent.
  14. The Canal is one of those places that on most people's bucket list...
  15. On the Uber website there is an estimating feature. I can guarantee you it will be far less than $120.
  16. HeHeHe...my comment was a bit sarcastic, but understanding the mood right now, it was intended to be ironic.
  17. Wonder when somebody will ask what the pax that got to stay on longer had to pay for the extra day...
  18. Oh boy...a topic that always goes nuclear. None. You don't need them, there are far better communication methods. You are in a big metal box...signals don't travel well, resulting in a lot of irritating noise to your fellow pax...like "Can you hear me?"...
  19. Typically 60 minutes, but that may vary by cruise line to as much as 2 hours prior.
  20. There is no magic time. If you are researching prices, start with dates you can see, and see how the prices fluctuate in the days after first released. I think you will find high prices for a few days after the seats are first made available. There is rarely good reason for booking them immediately after release. One reason would be if you are seeking a reward seat...the cheapest award seats are usually very soon after first released.
  21. It is in downtown Lahaina...towards the southern end. If you look at Google Map, its at the entrance of the marina in Lahaina. It couldn't be more walkable.
