Totally agree. Including booking two Saver Awards flights for next summer, to Europe, about two weeks after the seats came out. I monitor these things closely, and determine the trends when (if) discounted Award seats are released.
New room key? Not sure why you would need a new room key?
You will get the perks if you make it on days alone. If you need spending points, you won't get the perks on that cruise.
Oh boy...a topic that always goes nuclear.
None. You don't need them, there are far better communication methods. You are in a big metal box...signals don't travel well, resulting in a lot of irritating noise to your fellow pax...like "Can you hear me?"...
There is no magic time. If you are researching prices, start with dates you can see, and see how the prices fluctuate in the days after first released. I think you will find high prices for a few days after the seats are first made available.
There is rarely good reason for booking them immediately after release. One reason would be if you are seeking a reward seat...the cheapest award seats are usually very soon after first released.
It is in downtown Lahaina...towards the southern end. If you look at Google Map, its at the entrance of the marina in Lahaina. It couldn't be more walkable.
We are waiting for actual reports it has changed.
@fcrouch, the current policy is that you would pay the full price $13, plus the 18% tip, if you buy that wine. The policy may be changing to only paying the difference, but we don't have confirmation of that yet.
San Diego can be very inconsistent. I would not book a 9am flight. In March, we were among the first dozen or so people off our ship, and got to the airport at 8:10. That would be too tight for a 9am flight.
There are many shuttle services recommended here almost daily...SAS, QLS, Jiffy Jeff, GO Shuttle and a few more. I would be contacting them to see what they can arrange.
Solid metal railing. They are at the front of the ship, on the lowest balcony deck, and require stronger railings due to the possibility of waves reaching that level in the worst seas.
