  1. Good day, Some passengers on our ship are looking to rent bicycle for a few hours. They found a place (Fakarava yacht service) but it looks like a mile from the tender port. Any ideas for something closer? Thanks
  2. Sorry but there is no way I would do a 20% tip on a 350$ tour (for 2) when there are 6 other couples participating. But that's us.
  3. They will come back and say "We listen, and due to the overwhelming response from our Faithfull guest, Celebrity will bring back everyone's favourite" or something to that effect written by chatgpt.
  4. Remember the time when X try to remove the chocolate at turndown and move the hotdog from the mast grill to Ocean view? X backtracked. All this probably the result of X Marketing Team. Same will happen.
  5. Good day, We would like a guide tour that goes to the Teide Volcano with the Cable Car excursion. Any recommendation? Our ship gets into port at 11AM and leave at 10PM. Last cable car is about 5PM. That is in October 2023 Thanks
  6. WS spirit has sail- PG will never have LOL (just pulling your leg TBK) :-)
  7. Avispacificar rented twice from them.no issue. If you need an automatic, book in advance.
  8. Hello everyone, Does someone have a picture of one of the menu in the MDR on oceania. DW is Coeliac and we would like to know how they indicate (icon) meals that are safe. Thanks a lot.
  9. Club Med 2 (Wind Surf sibling) just got a 10M facelift. I think Wind Surf is safe as long as it brings money. But it is kinda unproductive to drydock both ship separately. Both company could save $$ by having similar system replaced at similar time including the sails. https://www.travelandleisure.com/club-med-yacht-2-what-its-like-on-board-7104293 https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Revamped-Club-Med-2-on-mission-to-grow-brand
  10. I thought they did not allowed ship over 3500 passengers anymore in Papeete?
  11. Just hoping they have Coeliac dishes because my DW will not be happy at all.
  12. Taxi rate in Tahiti (and Moorea). Please note that the prices are fixed and are greater in the evening. You can always ask how much to drop you there and come back to town. Web site in French. Try Google translate 😉 https://www.taxitahiti.com/tarifs P.S. For special destination, meter starts at 1000xpf (roughly $10US), then 130xpf/km. Wait cost is roughly 2500xpf/hr (or roughly 25$)
  13. 30 minutes. Use Google Streetview and see if this is for you.
  14. There is also PK18 which has a nice beach. By car or Taxi https://tahititourisme.pf/en-pf/offers/vaiava-beach-pk-18-punaauia-en-en-pf-3340806/
  15. Sailing to Moorea in the evening is fun but then you cannot go ashore in Moorea when you get there. At least by stayin docked, people who are arriving on that day can experience les roulottes, les 3 brasseurs, le Rétro, etc, go shopping a bit during the day and not feel rushed. You can even have time for an excursion before boarding late in the evening.
  16. Thank you very much - We're happy :-) We're from Ottawa.
  17. Hi all, First cruise with Nautica in Feb. 2024. We are used to Celebrity and Windstar and would appreciate if someone could post the drink prices aboard the ship. We are not interested in a drink package but we like to be informed beforehand. And I gather we are allowed 6 bottles per cabin on embarkation.. Thanks a lot and happy cruisin'
  18. EXACTLY - Do It. Been there a few time and also with Windstar - We managed good rate in July 2017. Unfortunately, the price for the 10 days to Fakarava and Marquesa are not in our price range (canadian $$ still hurting us) so we are doing the Marquesa with Oceania in Feb. 2024 (usually one of the wetess month). We want to go and that's the only way we can afford. PG and Aranui too expensive. Cheers.
  19. Everybody else is now proud of seeking out off the beaten path ports. You never know but Freeport might be an off the beaten path someday :-)
  20. Papeete (dock) Fakarava (anchor but not sure) Rangiroa (anchor) Raiatea (dock) Bora Bora (anchor) Huahine (anchor) Moorea (anchor)
  21. A few years ago there was very important aspect of the cruises experience that Celebrity tried to eliminate - The chocolate left on the pillow at turn-down. They reinstated the chocolate after the bad press they got.
