If it was non refundable, it most likely was coming from your TA. It came from Oceania or if your TA is part of a travel consortium. The TA we us always gives refundable.

For, even without the name as long as the food stayed the same. I just think that restaurant on the ship is outstanding.

Isn't authentic what ever you think is. Authentic to one isn't authentic to someone else.

They always bring on an expert on the canal, they have a pre lecture and once you start the canal they will speck thought out the crossing.

Let's just hope everyone washes their hands many times during a cruise. That will help a lot.

Our preference is to book air separately from the cruise. That way we can go and stay a few days before and after the cruise. We can book the day, time and the carrier we want. Plus getting the seats we want, not depending on anyone. We also enjoy leaving the hotel at the time we want-no crowded buses and arriving to the Port at the time we want. It's just nicer for us. The ports have plenty of porters so no worry about luggage, the doorman puts in the car, the porter takes it and we find the luggage in our suite. A great way to start a cruise. I realize it isn't for everyone, but works for us.

I hope they keep the restaurant on the ship, that was my favorite ones on the ship. Food always top notch (in my opinion).

We when port to port on Silversea over Christmas/New Years 2023-2024 and we got points. We deport to port because we like control of travel and the days before and after the cruise.

Why be disappointed, just book the suite you really want at the price you are willing to pay. Pretty simple and no stress waiting to see what suite you get.

I think you are on point. We changed for a few cruise Rengent, then Silversea. Regent was good, but wanted something different. Silversea after 2 cruises just didn't fit, plus they over sell the luxury, but can't deliver the product. We've just booked with Oceania, I enjoy the ship and think they have the best Suites at sea. We enjoy the ship more than where we go........

Once the luggage is taken off the bus, just have doorman take it--after check-in the hotel will get it to your room.

Can you use the credit for a private car tour at a port?

Well we haven't cruised Oceania for a while, we switched over to Regent for awhile - then took Silversea for a few cruises. We just booked the Riviera, so I guess you could say we are coming back to Oceania. To be truthful nSilversea was high cost and not so good. We prefer the bigger name suites and after nRegent and Silversea, Oceania beats them hands down. On the 9 "O" cruises we only have had one bad experience and it wasn't that bad.

I'd get it one or two nights before, don't wait to long because it could get crowded with people checking bills.

Specking of coffee, does the Cafe have French Press?

No box, but they did arrive at our home via UPS or Fed Ex (can’t recall which one). But nothing special at all.

Just because the staff ratio is higher, doesn’t mean better service. It all depends on the staff that is serving you at the time.

You’re right about the staff, however service should be the same from start to finish and it wasn’t though out the ship. They run out of staples more than once, service at The Art’s Cafe was great some days and other days counter service. We had a few cold meals that should have been hot. Butler’s were good but not great. And yes fresh fruit was not quality when it arrived in your room. I could go on, but if it was “LUXURY “ I wouldn’t have to say a thing. ANd others wouldn’t be writing the same……..

We just got off the Nova, loved the ship and the staff. Just didn’t WOW me as a luxury line.

Just bad PR, guess it tells you what they think about paying guest on the ship coming into and leaving Fort Lauderdale.

Like I said, it’s over now and we are back at home. We did stay a few days in Florida, We flew out this morning with one change of planes in Denver. All was go, and best of all everything was on time and all luggage arrived with us at home. This is who we see as we walked into our home, or her (Lulu) home.
