BF is same way, was telling his daughter I was going to Sweden this past November and I was going to Iceland. He is the same way for our trips, I just tell him where and when to be ready.

Great to know as I want to book a Norway trip for summer of 2025 and will be booking an inside and using points from NCL credit card to upgrade to balcony.

Great information as Norway is also on my list for summer of 2025. I am trying to find a Gate 1 land trip of Norway that I can combine it with.

Agree with @laudergayle don't waste your money since your dinner reservation is all set. Just cruised out of Tampa in February and it was a breeze.

There is also a Maritime Museum which is supposed to be very nice.

@Steelers0854disappointing to hear about the food at Food Republic. We have not eaten there and was planning to book when we boarded on Sunday, may have to rethink that idea. Seems like mixed messages from the staff on the foods your wife can eat, should not be that complicated. Hope the seas don't get too bad for you, stay safe.

I am on the 9/17 cruise and have been to Bar Harbor a few times camping. If you are looking for something other a lobster roll, I highly recommend Atlantic Brewing on 15 Knox Rd as they have Mainly Meats barbecue right next door which has amazing pulled pork along with blueberry beer. Atlantic Brewing does have a location up the hill from the ship if you don't want to venture away from the port area as you should try the blueberry ale. My plan is to do a tour with Ollie's tours of Acadia since BF has not been there and then uber over to Atlantic Brewing which is about 8 miles away. Have a great week and hopefully none of us feel the repercussions of Lee.

I have the room steward bring me an ice bucket and use that for my water bottle and then just fill from the faucet in the room.

Looks like you had great weather today. Interested to hear your take on NCL since this was your first with them. I've done most of my cruising with NCL, 2 Royal Caribbean, 1 Princess and 1 Celebrity. Did you end up buying any Cruise Next certificates?

I need to add that the escargots are amazing, as well as the duck and the dover sole also at Le Bistro.

Right now, NCL is having a promotion that ends today which allows you to use 2 CN on any room type and within any time period. I just booked a last minute Alaska cruise departing October 20th, outside cabin and got to use 2 CN.

To get an idea of the menus for the various specialty restaurants down by guest services should be a person with menus for the various restaurants and can also make your reservations for you.

I am considering an October 2023 cruise in an outside cabin and if I book by end of day on 8/31, I should be able to use 2 CND?

BF bought this shirt when we were in Alaska last year. Glad you stopped at Glacier Brewhouse one of our favorites, had a great piece of halibut there. Nice looking Air B&B and looks centrally located which is great. Enjoying your travels, waiting for the price to drop on the last cruise of the season out of Seattle and then will hop on it, as we love the beauty in Alaska.

Welcome to the NCL side, look forward to your review as always, our first Alaska cruise was on the Jewel in early Sept. 2019 and we had beautiful sunny and warm weather.

We are doing a tour called Iceland's Magical Northern Lights, we have 4 nights in Reykjavik and 3 nights in VIK. I definitely will need a cruise with your ports both in Norway and Iceland to see your scenery. I am going with about 12 girls so that should be fun. Yvonne, are you using a camera or cell phone and what kind is it? Your pictures are just totally amazing, so many of them would make great wall pictures or even puzzles. Forgot to mention we have salmon in restaurants around here from the Faroe Islands and never knew where they were.

I wish, I am actually doing a New England/Canada cruise out of NYC on NCL Escape and after that flying to the North Carolina coast for 10 days to enjoy the beach. I looked for next year and could not see the same thing. Looks like such an amazing trip. The food would definitely concern me. I'm doing a land trip to Iceland In November but don't think we'll see what Yvonne has been taking pictures of.
