  1. I'm liking the attitude, refreshing. My side is this. Been sailing since 1990, and when autograts where available, I left them on. I also like to have envelopes that last night for a lot of folks, mostly room steward, main dining room, bartenders etc. Some might only have $5 in them, but it's the thought. I do tip a couple dollars with each drink I get. Now, on to the next part. Next cruise on the Wonder we have UDP. Yes, I'll tip extra after the meal and also leave the autograts on. My thought is, it's a few hundred dollars that will make more people happier than me keeping it in my pocket. Yes, I've been blessed. PS....I can't take it with me, and my son has more $$ than me. Ha!
  2. Ps.....because he played so much on the Harmony last Nov, he got a 7 night cruise in Oct on the Wonder for $139.00 plus $500 in casino freeplay. Oh, and double points. 3. You still have to pay Port Fees and taxes, but pretty close to free. 🙂 We have an 8 night Mariner in May that costs us $119.83 each in Port Fees/Taxes and $11 to upgrade. $239.66 total for the two of us. My son paid pretty much the same amount and will get double points for the 8 nights. Nice.
  4. The cabin is comped, but you still pay taxes and port fees. My DW & I get the same offers as our 25yr old son and he sails solo. He gets double points each time. The only difference is if we both upgrade to nicer cabins, he pays the same upggrade price as us even though he is a solo.
  5. Calm and clear. Been going here for over 12 years and truly enjoy this day at the beach. We have a couple buckets, float in the water and just enjoy the day. Really isn't anything under the water to see if you want to snorkel, just sand. 🙂
  6. Yes, all Oasis class ships have the Carousel on the Boardwalk. Great pic!
  7. Yes, she has water, soda's, chips etc...........
  8. We've been to SXM probably twenty plus times over the years. There's at least 15-20 separate "vendors" that sell chairs/umbrella's etc. We always sit with Henry, red chairs red/green umbrellas. Was there a few times last year and it was $10 per chair. Behind his chairs is a beverage cart run by Ms. Bernie. Cheap buckets of beers and lots of choices. You can use the restroom at the restaurant right by her. There's lots of "3rd party" guys when you get off the water taxi trying to convince you to go to "their" vendor. They'll make a few dollars off the vendors they bring you too. Like the posts before, just say you're going to Miquel's, Ms. Bernie's or Henry and they'll leave you alone. If allowed, here's Ms. Bernie's email. She'll set you up with chairs with Henry and an ice cold bucket waiting. Tell her Mr. Bill sent you. 🙂 bernie71_4@hotmail.com
  9. Maybe the OP is inquiring if he can bring on more than two bottles in his carry on and how strict are the people checking? That's how I'm taking it......of course, been wrong before. Ha
  10. We both are Prime so we use our two Interiors to book an OV. We then upgrade for around $200 a piece for a balcony. I've priced the upgrade to a JS before and it was in the Thousands.....our son also moves from an Interior to a Balcony (we do connecting balconies so it's a 2br 2ba "suite' ha). As a solo he normally pays around $400 for the upgrade. PS......we've done about twenty casino comped cruises.
  11. You still have to pay port fees & taxes, so technically it's not free. Enjoy the points, I've been getting them for years on my many "comp" cruises. 🙂
  12. Since we're both Prime, we use both certs to upgrade from two interiors to an oceanview. Then we pay the couple hundred dollars to upgrade to a balcony. Our son, who is also Prime, played enough on our recent Harmony cruise to get a 7 night Wonder cruise in October plus $500 casino credit. He gets a lot better offers monthly than DW & I, but we make it work.
  13. End of March. Casino "year" is April 1st through March 31st.
  14. Yes, you can book now and apply the certificate when available. Not sure about TA though, I do all my bookings through RCCL Casino folks. I switched from my TA years ago cause she really didn't make any money on my casino comps.
  15. I booked the Wonder for October while on the Harmony this past November and paid the minimum deposit. Will use our annual "Prime" certificates for this cruise when they come out in April. It will cost $256 when all is said and done, which $200 of it is the deposit I made. Also, due to the monthly offers I get through casino, booked eight night Mariner in May for $119.83 a piece which includes $11pp upgrade fee. Love the casino comps!
  16. What hours are the Casino open at the Marriott?
  17. Thanks for the info Paul. I wonder what hours the casino is open?
  18. For RCCL it would be for each.......
  19. Keep in mind that's two 24hr period for each D+. For the three of us we basically get 6 days on a 7 night cruise. We don't sign up till the second day, then we're good for the week. We use it to check the live cams on the puppies. 🙂
  20. I always put ours in our checked luggage. We bring three....... As for carry on, not sure, never tried.....
  21. Okay, so if you're just charging to your room you pay the 5%? We've been Prime for years so I thought 5% was on everything. Cool?
  22. If you cash out $100 it will cost you $5, unless your status in the casino is Prime or higher. Prime and higher has the 5% fee waived. Waived Casino Convenience Fee (5%) for Cashless Wagering on SeaPass® Prime, Signature & Masters https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/cruise-casinos/rewards
  23. And don't forget the 5% fee if you're not Prime or above in the Casino.
  24. Yes! Went from a OV Balcony to a CLS on Allure last Oct.
  25. Desmond always made Tyler an Oreo cookie shake when we arrived in the lounge. I also remember when it was free beer & wine and 20% off for cocktails. Times sure have changed. Although we're closing in on Pinnacle, I still love the Casino status so much better. 🙂
