I respectfully disagree. I know what I paid for my upcoming Princess cruise and it is VERY comparable to our Celebrity cruises. I have even had higher class cabins on Celebrity that are cheaper than what we paid for Princess. I do agree though, that the drink packages do vary some

Ahhhh!! As a newish Princess cruiser, I am so confused! We purchased Plus with our booking which was in 2022. At the time we were told there would be no shipping charge for the Medallion, but when I purchased it I was charged $10. While we didn’t receive an email about the upgrade from the old Plus to new Plus, my parents did. We were told that we don’t HAVE to purchase it and since I can’t eat the desserts anyway, don’t do fitness classes and can get my own drinks, we chose not to upgrade, but when I look at my account it shows as PURCHASED, so I guess I would have to call anyway even though the website says to upgrade via the website……not an option. i don’t even know if our drink max will be $12 (what it was when purchased) or $15 (which many people have said they are receiving). I keep asking myself why we spent so much $$ to go on this cruise and the only answer I have is that my parents are elite with Princess and this will likely be their last cruise and they wanted us to go. It’s definitely a one and done for us (actually 2. We sailed Princess once many years ago) I have 4 bookings on our tried and true, Celebrity, and will stick with them.

We are new to Princess (only one Princess cruise many years ago). We booked our cruise well over a year ago and had the old Plus package. We have been told that for $10/day/person we could upgrade, but don’t HAVE to. I can’t even eat the desserts and the other stuff doesn’t interest us so we chose not to. We were also told that our drinks will be allowed up to $12. That’s where I’m a bit confused, as others that have sailed with our same package had a $15 max. I guess we shall see! I think I’m glad that this will be our second and last Princess cruise. They make things so confusing 😂.

I’m going to have to try that again. We had it on our last cruise and it was just ok. Not much flavor to it at all.

I believe so. I like mine rare and my husband medium rare. We had to choose one or the other.

We aren’t anywhere near Sapphire and I have received 3 offers and my husband 2 in the last couple of weeks, I booked 2 cruises last week. We hadn’t received any offers in 19 months and now we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

We just had one recently. We got big bottles of Evian, a cheese plate and fruit plate. We had the beverage package so could order drinks. Also had the option of ordering from the room service menu for lunch. It was a very relaxing day.

LOVED the chateaubriand and Murano lobster. Tried the Dover Sole, but neither of us cared for it. Not much flavor

He takes the chance of being turned away for dinner if he tries entering with shorts. I have seen it happen many times. The dress code says no shorts so I suggest following it and he can change to shorts after dinner

That’s too bad. I just booked 2 cruises through BCC last week. Got the exact cabin I asked for and was only on hold for 2 minutes. Great experience!

We are newish to Princess as well and first time with this Medallion thing. We have made our MDR reservations. Made them as soon as final payment was made and earliest was 7. I’m ok with that, but my parents wanted closer to 6:30. Also wanted to make specialty reservations, but no where on app for me to do it. It’s not under dining.

I got my MDR reservations made, but can’t do any specialty restaurants. There is no where on the app that shows specialty. Our final payment has been made so that’s not the issue

There are tshirts with the same thing. Just a fun little thing. I see no bragging 🤷🏻‍♀️

We will be doing our second Princess cruise in October. Our first was MANY years ago. We are going because it will likely be my parents last cruise. They have been Princess cruisers for a long time and they wanted us to go with them, along with my brother and sister in law. It will be 15 nights on the Sapphire to Hawaii and back. I really wanted to do a Celebrity TA, but for some reason they pushed this one. I’m still hesitant, but going into it with an open mind. Will let you know how it goes! 😂

If this happens, do you still get the same one that was ordered? (If did a specialty medallion)

When is the last time you were on a Celebrity ship? They have delicious boiled shrimp on every cruise. We are sailing Princess in October for only the second time. So far, I’m not so sure it will be for us, but definitely going to be comparing it to Celebrity!

Just adding my two cents……..we are Celebrity cruisers. Taking a Princess cruise (only our second ever) in October because my parents wanted to and might be their last. Anyway, all cruise lines are making changes and cutbacks, I see people on Celebrity boards complaining about it every day. We have sailed 3 times this year on Celebrity and we haven’t noticed anything that people are complaining about. Maybe make a decision after sailing? It might not be as bad as you think 🤷🏻‍♀️

I always wondered the same thing. Luckily when my kids turned 18 I called Celebrity, they got their CC number and all the points from past cruises.
