  1. Last year we stayed at the Premier Inn Gatwick and it was very good... except for the fire alarm at 0200 and hiking up 10 floors afterwards.
  2. You're asking this bassackwards. The cost of hotels in London and exchange rates have nothing to do with what you may encounter in the United States; it's London. I suggest you use Trivago, put in British Museum as the search areA along with date of stay and sort the results by distance from landmark (British Museum) and filter according to customer feedback i.e. better than 7.5. You'll get a sense of what things cost. https://www.trivago.co.uk/
  3. Let's say they're ambivalent on their activities for the day. In that case, I'd suggest toughing out the travel experience and end up in the Victoria station area for the night rather than St. Pancras.
  4. I'm not sure what you mean. Your price range and what the hotels are charging may not coincide.
  5. I don't know when you're planning on being in London but I believe you'll have to reconsider how much you're planning on paying. €225 is less than £200; that's not much.
  6. €50 now but still provides lots of time flexibility for small price increase. https://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-roma-en/pax-fco-taxi
  7. I don't know much about London but it may help others who do to provide advice if you indicated the sort of thing(s) you may want to do for the day. If your interests run to British Museum or Imperial War Museum you're likely to get very different suggestions.
  8. Could you post a few examples of this for me??? TIA.
  9. For this connection, should be no need to go through screening in YYZ so Nexus doesn't enter in to the picture. This itinerary is a little tight but ought to be just fine. If AC sold it, they're going to do their best to make it happen... passengers and luggage. If some travellers choose to have three or four hours between connections like this, that's entirely up to them. Why not four or five or six? We all know there are things that happen that can delay us. It's kind of like.... I booked a 1200 flight on disembarkation day, is that too early? Then you get the responses; OK, unless there is fog or OK unless the ship hits a rock or OK unless immigration takes hours to do something that normally takes 15 minutes. You should change your flight to 2200 or next day just in case. Jeepers... just plan something and go with it. I guess I've demonstrated my opinion on this; no doubt there are alternate views.
  10. All OK here and I didn't do any cache clearing, etc...
  11. Try Ships Inventory at 1-888-628-8107 or 206-626-7381.
  12. Does that mean if I decide to take a Royal Caribbean cruise, I'll get to wear lapel pins? Interesting....
  13. Seems to be linked to the 'pre-sales order' nature of the transaction and how those are handled.
  14. I understand you don't know the ship's itinerary but what 'immigration and customs concerns' exist? Never seen any of that on any cruise I've embarked in the United States.
  15. That is not permissible in Halifax.
  16. Never used train but have taken Aerobus from BCN (and return) to Placa Catalunya then walked to hotel. Used Metro a lot in Barcelona and never had any problems. https://aerobusbarcelona.es/?lang=en
  17. Personally, I'd go to the airport and take the Canada Line train from there; just to save on hauling luggage behind me, but it's up to you. No worries on crowding.
  18. The provincial Nova Scotia Liquour Commission store is located near the cruise terminal. Probably 'overpriced' but no different than anywhere else in Nova Scotia.
  19. The examples in post #2022 were for things that are paid for when booked; not when they're actually going to be used. You can book and pay for a hotel room with a CC that will be expired when you show up at the room. So what? It's already paid for.
  20. 1. Yes, taxis are plentiful near pier and around town. 2. Pay fare with credit card or Canadian cash. The driver may take USD but don't expect to get much of an exchange rate or USD back in change. 3. Tip about 15% if you wish. 4. Uber is available in Halifax.
