  1. Definitely would not my my first cruise with any cruise line a world cruise.
  2. Generally speaking, if you book both the domestic and international segments on the same ticket with the same airline, the domestic part will be first class. At least this has been our experience for multiple cruises over the past 8 years or so, including one coming up in November. Having said that, your TA is correct, it is not guaranteed.
  3. Anyone not comfortable with the current cruise and/or fly rules should just stay home.
  4. The only time I have ever seen a line for CR is on night two following captains reception. And if you exit the reception a little early, then no line on that night either. Otherwise never an issue to be seated.
  5. Another thread for Dan to lock. Not sure why some posters feel they need to post yet again the same info that has already been posted multiple times.
  6. If you take a cruise in the summer or over December holidays, expect kids, even on Regent.
  7. As I recall, the list prices include gratuities, so no reason to add additional unless you feel the service deserves it.
  8. As I recall, at least pre-Covid, the regent reps responsible for managing transportation from hotel or airport to the port were very particular about who was allowed on the bus. They counted and double counted several times. Bottom line was if you weren’t supposed to be provided transportation, you did not get it.
  9. You didn't mention business class air to and from the Med. Certainly not insignificant these days.
  10. Of course you need to check in at the prescribed time. Just because Regent made your reservation, it’s still your reservation.
  11. Did you not go to the airline website and add your contact info after booking was finalized? Always the first thing I do is to verify seat assignments and correct contact/notification info.
  12. Do I understand this correctly? You spend many thousands of dollars for a cruise, but don't want to spend a hundred dollars or so to help insure you know where your luggage is 🙂
  13. You are absolutely correct. Their advertising does say free, so it must be true😂
  14. CruisetheCs should already know that nothing is free on Regent, only included.
  15. We are also flying to Rome 4 days early, so it may well be that going early, there were no contracted seats. I guess it is what it is. Wish I had rejected what they offered, and did a little more back and forth. Such is life in the 1st world.
  16. Agree with mrstanley regarding the direct Delta flight to Barcelona. We were not as lucky flying to Rome this Fall. We requested direct Delta flight, but the best Regent could (or would) do was American Atlanta to Charlotte to London to Rome. Not happy at all about the routing. Plenty of seats available on all flights requested, but apparently Regent has no contracted seats available. This was on day 270, months ago.
  17. I was under the impression that covid testing was no longer required prior to boarding, only proof of vaccination except for US ports. Must have misread something.
  18. Thx. I wasn’t sure about the process since brexit.
  19. Can anyone comment on whether immigration/customs/security is involved when transiting thru LHR when final destination is Rome? We have about 2.5 hrs between flights. thx
  20. Unless something has changed in the last two weeks, your TA appears to be il-informed. If you use both Regent supplied air and hotel, you receive transfers from airport to hotel and hotel to ship.
  21. Last time I checked onboard (pre-Covid) a non-refundable OBC could not be donated to the Crew Fund. It would be nice if that policy has changed recently.
