  1. 2 hours is plenty of time for Air France to "mishandle" your luggage. Be sure to take pics of your checked luggage and be sure to have an AirTag in each bag. One of my bags went missing in CDG with an Air France to Delta hand off in November. 62 days to make it home. At least it was after a cruise and not prior to. I would still be waiting if it wasn't for the picture and my ability to tell Air France exactly where the bag was. The worst airport ever. Never will I fly Air France or have connection in CDG again.
  2. Never seen or heard of that exclusion before. Must have been one hell of a discount. I've booked several cruises with promotional discounts and did receive the shareholder benefit discount.
  3. Tip expectations aside, whether it’s urban or rural, if the service level isn’t stellar, or at least good, expectations will not be met.
  4. Yep, you or your TA will need to call Regent to cancel booked excursions. Rumor has it that you will be able to cancel excursions online with a future website enhancement.
  5. Have you checked on the airline website using the reservation code provided when the flight was booked to see that they still exist? Flights seem to come and go, especially post pandemic.
  6. Can't speak to when flight details are available for non-deviated air arrangements, but if you deviate, I have found that within a day or two the air arrangements are available to view on the website under the "Manage This Booking" button. There is a link "Review Air Schedule" found just under the "Roundtrip Air" heading.
  7. Yes, Destination Services has room for improvement. Don’t we all. Certainly Sheila’s treatment was abhorrent and should be corrected, but to condemn everyone in that organization is ridiculous. To think that an onboard staff of a couple people should be able to answer specific questions about specific excursions is absurd. Think about it, a single cruise with 8 or 10 ports with multiple excursions at each one. No one could possibly have detailed information about all of them.
  8. After a handful of Regent cruises, I cannot recall ever hearing background music in the various restaurants. Perhaps the noise level obscured the music, or the loud rock concerts in my earlier years has affected my hearing 😊
  9. Also looking forward to meeting up on the land program in Athens. Having been to Rome 5 times previously, we are not planning additional days in Rome following the cruise.
  10. Actually, if you have refundable credits available, you can withdraw the funds from reception, take the cash to the casino and give it back to them.
  11. Sorry, I don’t recall what the additional logins cost. I would try sweet talking the admin guy in the business center. You may get lucky. Worth a shot.
  12. The only problems I saw on Splendor last November were all supply-chain related and inexperienced staff. Hopefully, those issue will be resolved on my next cruise in October.
  13. The cost for additional logins is significant, and IMHO, not worth it.
  14. In Europe, they will lose your bag regardless.😂
  15. There are no cooking classes on any Regent ships except Explorer and Splendor.
  16. No, we are on the 10/30 sailing Athens to Rome on Splendor. We were already going in 3 days early for the included land program, and now 4 days early for the flights we wanted.
  17. Here is something to consider--- My wife and myself and sister and her husband are flying to Athens this fall and returning from Rome. We requested Delta non-stop in both directions from and to Atlanta. Regent approved the return flight to Atlanta from Rome that we requested, but not the flight to Athens without a significant up charge (4 figure) because there were no contracted seats available on the non-stop out of Atlanta. They suggest we fly ATL->JFK->ATH instead. I asked the question, WHAT IF we fly over a day early? Would that change anything? Low and behold, contract seats were available on the prior day for the non-stop out of Atlanta. So we will fly in a day earlier than we had planned and do a little extra sightseeing. Moral of the story is be creative and flexible when requesting specific flights and connections.
  18. These are without a doubt the worst two European airports for connections. Avoid both at all costs. Delta/AirFrance “misplaced “ one of my bags flying from Barcelona thru Paris to Atlanta in November. 62 days for bag to make it home.
  19. If Regent was the only cruise line impacted then I would be less forgiving of Regent. But with multiple cruise lines impacted by this situation, not so sure something else wasn’t going on.
  20. Included laundry did not start because of Covid. Laundry was included a full year prior to Covid on Mediterranean cruises, albeit on a trial basis, presumably to determine laundry staffing levels required.
  21. If you have heartburn over KLM, as I do with Air France, you need to read the fine print. You can have a Delta Flight operated by KLM, and a KLM Flight operated by Delta.
  22. Over the course of a dozen or more cruises, the hotel accommodations and food was perfectly acceptable. Perhaps you would be happier with the pre-cruise hotel provided by one of the mainline cruise companies 😊.
  23. Also wanted to add that they will customize their tours to meet whatever you would like to do
  24. Highly recommend LivItaly for private Rome tours. We have used them twice, once for a 2 day, and again for a 3 day this past November. A family owned business that is wonderful. They also have a 1 day tour, where they will meet you at the pier and take in all of the popular attractions if you are only in port for a day. Google LivItaly for their website.
  25. Kinda bizarre the hotel is unable to locate your reservation with your name.
