Not sure why anyone would think the on board staff of 3 or 4 would be able to answer these sorts of very specific questions on each excursion when there are literally hundreds of ports with many hundreds of excursions. I suspect more times than not all they have are the same descriptions that are available to everyone. IMHO.

You bet there will be a difference in the amount of motion felt at the front or rear of the ship based on the itinerary. North Atlantic, South Pacific, Trans-Atlantic crossings have a much greater chance of significant motion than you will typically see in the Mediterranean or Caribbean.

Geeze. If an airport lounge is the highlight of the trip, sure doesn’t say much for Regent and the actual cruise.

I would imagine that a civil suit by NCLH against those claiming fraud would shutdown baseless claims. Words can have repercussions.

I believe you will pay and extra $125 per person each way if you do not use one of the published gateway cities.

You pay for these excursions when they are booked. The paid excursions can be cancelled up to 48 hrs prior to the excursion for full refund.

Depends a lot on whether it is one of the included land programs. If it is, it will be a significant group, multiple buses.

Can't speak for United, but I have had no issues with multiple Delta and American flights using luggage with same dimensions as yours.

You didn’t miss much on the commercials. Nothing even approaching the memorable ads of years gone by. IMHO.

This has been a yearly promotion for years. IMHO way too much is being made of it.

When we flew into Athens in November, we also had the included 3 day land program. Of course, day 1 is just getting there and checked into the hotel. We booked a Tuk-Tuk golf cart tour that afternoon which we thought was excellent and gave us something to do that afternoon and gave us a great overview of the city. As I recall, it was about 3 hours in length and picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. The hotel stored the luggage for us until we were able to check in.

On our Splendor cruise last November, new bathrobes appeared on the last day. Our original bathrobes were not removed, but were hung in a different location away from the new ones. Obviously, our attendant was trying to get a head start on the busy debark/embark day.

Obviously, what you hear or don't hear from adjoining cabins depends on what the occupants are doing or not doing.

Probably not a great idea to sail on a new ship for the first several months. Way too many maintenance / construction issues that need to be resolved, not to mention new employees.

Everyone will be off the ship by 9. Taxi not a good idea to get from the port to FCO. Best case would be 1 to 1.5 hrs to airport. Suggest you use the Regent provided transportation, or hire your own shuttle or car service.

That question was already answered. If you didn't deviate (to select specific flights and dates), you will receive your flight details 75 days prior to boarding. If you don't know what deviating is or means, there is an entire sticky thread devoted to that topic at the top of the list of threads.

As i recall, if you don’t deviate, you will get flights at the 75 day mark.

Like Dave said, if you don’t deviate and you aren’t in concierge or above, you will usually arrive on embarkation day and depart on debarkation day.

Regent put us up in the Grand Hyatt Athens for pre-cruise land program last November. It was perfectly fine.
