  1. It should say on the offer. Something like for you. Or, for you and a companion. If it just says you, it’s likely just you.
  2. The pig and anchor on deck 8 is usually not busy on embarkation day. We head there right after muster drill.
  3. We have done that several times. I don’t know of a way to do that before boarding. We always just get extra cabin cards once on board. It requires carrying two cards for the people not staying in their assigned cabin, but we haven’t found it to be a big deal. There may be a better way. But we are too lazy and this works fine.
  4. Agree. This last week, people were lined up at 8:15 to get in and the doors weren’t even open until shortly before 9:00. If you didn’t get a seat then, you were standing. And there were a ton of people standing.
  5. I’ve seen them. Talent is fine. Entertaining is more important to me. But that part is super subjective. I’m not going to judge who people like to see. Lots of the soloist around the ships are very talented. Some are very entertaining.
  6. If you mean the guy who is on there now, he was unwatchable. Because it was so crowded. By far the best piano bar entertainer. Even though he did play the Alice song. But hey, if people are going to pay him to play it, I’m not gonna argue.
  7. Piano bar is hit or miss for me depending on the entertainer. Mostly miss. But the piano bar regulars can crack me up. People making fun of non regulars asking for Sweet Caroline and then requesting that god awful Alice song like it’s some cool kid inside joke. It’s not. It’s terrible.
  8. I would also do the Celebration. Now, maybe that’s because I just don’t put much value in the Havana area on any ship. Both are great so I don’t think it’s a no Brainer. But the added dining options and bars give the celebration the edge for me.
  9. It’s hard to know what level of crowd will cause her anxiety but I’ve been on the Celebration several times now (on it as a write this) and for as big as the ship is, I feel less crowded than smaller ships. I think that’s mainly because there are a lot of areas on the ship instead of everyone funneled to the same area. Avoid the main lido and take the forward or aft elevators as much as possible. On the first day, I suggest going to the far back of the ship. Deck 8 at the Pig and Anchor area for example. But the first day always seems crowded until cabins are open at 1:30. I can’t help much with the mobility issue other than there are a lot of scooters I see. People don’t seem to complain much other than elevator slowness.
  10. Yes. My PvP botched a casino offer and it took a lot of effort to fix it. It was at that exact moment I realized I don’t need a PvP so I don’t use one. That mess up would have cost me more than any benefit she ever provided.
  11. Maybe with a group your size, set time. But I personally like your time dining for the flexibility and it’s not really close. I’ve never found we have to wait a long time. But there have been plenty of times a set time got in the way of other things we wanted to do.
  12. Dress the same as you would with early or late set time dining.
  13. If someone is a no show in a 2 person cabin (not the primary person with the cruise rate), does Carnival automatically refund the taxes and port fees or does the person need to do something to get the refund?
  14. I have the drink package. I don't need to go to the Diamond party. Better things to do on a cruise. If people are that upset by the large crowds, I got nothin.
  15. 5 cocktails and 3 sodas, you’ve paid for it. More than that, and it’s bonus.
  16. I’m pretty sure the internet always has accurate info. Here’s a picture of the Magic last night. Seems OK to me.
  17. Queue the post complaining about the hassle of getting back from Aruba after getting off a cruise ship.
  18. On most cruises I’ve been on, someone has organized a bar crawl. They can be a lot of fun. It’s a good way to meet people on the cruise and worst case, it’s not your thing and you can stop the crawling anytime.
  19. Hey, is there a way I can avoid the long line of people at guest services who are removing their tips because they want to tip more than the standard gratuity and not at all because they want to save money? Also, I don’t know what Carnival does with the auto gratuities. I mean, I don’t know what really happens to the tips I hand out. But rest assured, it’s a lot more than the standard gratuities. Believe me.
  20. Nassau was a stay on the ship port before so it really is now. Maybe walk around the port area with the new changes.
  21. We had that once. But we didn’t select it on other Celebration cruises since we didn’t board until 10:45. Sitting around waiting is not my idea of fun
  22. Maybe. Unless I’m sick enough to go to the doctor, I wouldn’t even know I had Covid. Just another virus at this point.
  23. I agree with this. We have gone on many spring break cruises and I don’t think the crowds are than other cruises. Of course, the worst behavior I’ve seen on cruises is from adults, so I don’t really worry about kids.
