  1. You’re not supposed to on elegant nights but I do almost every other night in the MDR.
  2. So, I mentioned your plan to my wife and she thought it’s an awesome idea you have. Then she brought up that when you go up the escalators to board, it’s possible that the general boarding area may see people? We honestly don’t know if that’s true, because we never really paid attention. But just in case, I’d have your family looking the other way when you are walking to board.
  3. I don’t think it’s visible from general waiting. I think the risk of being seen is before you get to the waiting area. When you get to the port and initially enter the building, there is a priority line. But in that area, everyone can see everyone else. Then once you check in, you’ll take the escalator up to the priority waiting area and then you’ll be safe. So coordinate getting to that point so you don’t see your grandkids. Hope that makes sense.
  4. @Butterbean1000here is a photo from Saint Greg’s current sailing to show what I mean. I probably have done a poor job describing it. You’ll see platinum on the right.
  5. Every time we have been to terminal F, the diamond and platinum go to the same area and are given different Priority cards. And then there is a sign that designates where people sit (diamond, platinum, suites). But it’s the same general area. And it’s completely separate from non priority boarding.
  6. In F, platinum, diamond, suites, FTTF are all in the same area. They just have each group broken out within the same area. If that makes sense. So you won’t see anyone not in the priority seating.
  7. I’ve only been out of terminal F since Covid but yes, there is a separate area.
  8. OP with a master class in trolling this thread. Well done.
  9. Yes. Well, I’ve never used the hub app on my iPad so actually not sure. But the hub app and WiFi purchase are separate things.
  10. Sorry for your loss. In the meantime, I have a black backpack for sale. Never been opened so who knows the lucky surprises that could be inside. Highest bidder gets the prize.
  11. I don’t care what they do. As long as it benefits me personally.
  12. You don’t have to have YTD to eat at Chibang or Cucina for free. You get one free dinner there (lunch is always free when they are open). With set time dining, you just have to wait until 7:30 to check in. Pig and Anchor is free also (ribs and something else has a charge). Bonsai, Steakhouse, Rudi’s and Emeril’s are extra.
  13. As a Carnival shareholder, I’d like people to buy as much of this well priced merchandise as possible.
  14. Wow. Those people need to switch to decaf. Probably headed to guest services to get a freebie once on board. Have a great cruise.
  15. Wr don’t take the elevator but on a recent horizon cruise, we didn’t see the crowded elevator areas like we do on most cruises.
  16. Same here. Maybe they messed up but we have always just kept ours.
  17. I like the Celebration a little more. More dining options. More specialty bars. Is it worth $300 more total? Maybe. But Horizon is a good ship also. I’d likely go on the celebration but I was just on the Horizon last month and going again in May.
  18. I like them both. They do their jobs well without being annoying. But I have to say, the CD has never really affected my trips that much. Georgia is definitely less “over the top” than some CDs. Which I really like. If you want a CD who is always turned up to 11, you may be disappointed.
  19. Open sea days. It’s when I get my most play time in.
  20. Mardi Gras and Celebration are both $15. I can see them making all tables $15 soon. Tables are packed even when they are $15.
  21. This tip discussion is great but what the important question is: is Cheers worth it?
  22. Have you seen the Rockband and if so, how are they?
  23. This. We did a 9:30 check in time on the Celebration once. And we sat there until boarding at 10:45. Never again. We get there to sit down in the waiting area no earlier than 10:30.
  24. And people wonder why there are so many scooters on Carnival ships.
