  1. Had this happen before but didn't realize until I was on a ship putting on the shirt for dinner. Luckily I had other nice tops I could wear.
  2. Just sailed on the Freedom last week. Boarding passes said platium and we never sat down after we arrived until on the ship. We arrived about 20 minutes after our window and easily went through the boarding process, other than the slow down for the drug sniffing dog.
  3. Don't pick LAX. TSA precheck is even more of a headache there especially if it is blended with the non-precheck people and the agents are not aware of who has what.
  4. I generally google "Carnival (Ship Name) goccl" and it pulls up the option to see the fact sheet.
  5. Pride is scheduled for dry dock: 4/26/23-5/27/23. You can find this information on the goccl website.
  6. Only time we will not cruise currently is August but that is due to work. We love to sail over NYE, this year will be our third time and we are already booked for next year. Most people opt out because of the price but if you book early, it isn't as bad as you might think.
  7. OK that is also against the rules of the Cheers program but I'm not going to tell other adults what they should/shouldn't do. Just be aware she would run the risk of losing the drink package all together without a refund. When you go to get a drink, your information/picture are shown on the bartenders screen.
  8. Sharing cocktails refers to those such as fish bowls that are meant to have more than one person drinking at the same time from one glass. On the per drink price - Dom would be excluded, and I know there is one aged rum that is more than $20, otherwise most everything else would fall within the price category. You can always ask how much it would be before placing your order. I call my liquor on most everything else without having any issues.
  9. We just did the Pride Med cruise with my parents. For the most part, their only other international experience was our Baltic cruise on NCL in 2019. Make sure your family is aware of their surroundings (my dad was pickpocketed in the Rome airport this year), and it is not like the states. I haven't been to most places you would visit except Seville and Rome. If you plan to visit Real Alcazar in Seville, arrange this in advance and confirm your tickets. Also, pay attention to catholic holidays that you may not usually think of. We happened to be there during Corpus Christi and ended up witnessing a fascinating catholic parade, but our plans the next day were interrupted due to business being closed. Carnival excursions can be good/bad depending on the size and the need to ensure that the ship would wait if it is a long tour. We used a number of the Carnival tours this time but had the OBC to justify those costs.
  10. Isn't the game you are interested in scheduled for tomorrow? Our defense didn't play well this afternoon (KC for life).
  11. I wish you better luck than we had last year. Our Vegas layover turned into an overnight stay because of cancelled flights (this was right after the new year when everyone's flight were getting cancelled). We had options in Long Beach and figured we had a better chance getting out of Vegas with multiple flight options instead of staying in California another night.
  12. Should have gone with the 10:55am flight. Long Beach is the easiest airport to fly in/out of. Even baggage claim is outside.
  13. I like to refer to this as a nice distraction for my last 16.5 working days this year.
  14. Strawberry is the flavor that I found tastes better. For some reason the lemon just doesn't taste normal and is hard to drink.
  15. I booked back in 2021 but was able to keep my credit when I moved a 2023 sailing to 2024 this year. I might have gotten lucky since it is an Australian sailing.
  16. We forgot to do this in Athens, and saw every ship/boat in the harbor that day during the 3 mile walk it took to find the Pride.
  17. I got tiles (I have an android) for our last trip since I was concerned with luggage traveling international and getting missed on the flight. The tiles are easy to track, but I was also sent notifications from the airline so it eased my concerns. May use the advice and put one in my car when I need to know where I'm parked.
  18. Last February, we booked on a Tuesday and sailed on Friday. Luckily we were already planning on being gone during that time and just had to shuffle flights around since we are nowhere near a port.
  19. If it is the Oia/Thira(Fira) with wine tour, the cable car is one of the options to get back down. You go to Oia first, have wine than explore the town. Then you head to Thira where you are set free to explore town and head back down to the ship at your leisure (we were given tickets to the cable car).
  20. We had an excursion that took us to Oia first via water shuttle but we had to take the cable car back down in Thira (or walk the stairs but a number of people fell so we opted against that). NCL was supposed to leave at 2:30 but due to the line didn't get out until probably after 5:00pm. We got to the water shuttle around 4:15pm-ish and had a couple from NCL in our cable car.
  21. After the cluster of last week and the lines, I'm not surprised they switched the stops around. The 1.5 hour wait for the cable cars put a damper on that stop which otherwise was a fun day.
