Krazy Kruizers Posted July 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2004 :) Just happened to be looking at the "Ask a Cruise Question" board and someone who is going on an RCI ship asked if blenders were allowed. They don't want to pay $5 for non-alcoholic daquaries. Just one more item to add to your packing list!! :D :D
Rustynail Posted July 23, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2004 That's ok because I don't particularly like the food served on board so I always bring my crockpot with me so I can enjoy my own food in my cabin.
CaptData Posted July 23, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Don't forget the George Foreman Grill to cook your steaks just the way you like them.

iluvcruzin Posted July 23, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2004 I've heard of people bringing those small portable blenders onboard to make their own "frozen drinks". I think they have battery operated travel ones you can get too. Vicar - if you bring your bagpipes I'll dance an Irish slipjig or hornpipe for entertainment :D
thulewx Posted July 23, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2004 And don't forget the personal stereo with the Bose satellite speakers with subwoofer system for poolside - since my musical tastes are so much better than everyone elses

Guest alexMD Posted July 23, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 23, 2004 First of all, it's "daiquiri". Second, those battery-powered blenders couldn't swat a fly! You need the real thing: http://www.totallygross.com :) :) :)
Rustynail Posted July 23, 2004 #10 Share Posted July 23, 2004 I personally like to bring my 12 guage shotgun onboard so I can fire off a round during the sail away party. It also works well with chair hogs.
Vicar Posted July 23, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Now see I usually use one of those Aerosal can air horns at the sail away party. These also come in handy when I need to call the steward to my cabin late at night, you know how slow they are answering the phone at that hour
RevNeal Posted July 23, 2004 #12 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Don't forget your own silverware ... after all, we've all heard the rumors about occasional food bits being found on the ship's silverware! Oh, and: ...those battery-powered blenders couldn't swat a fly! LOL ... I didn't realize one put flies into the blender?? What kind of drink do they go into making?? :p ;)
the2ofus Posted July 23, 2004 #13 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Oh my! We really have to be careful here....for the last couple of days there have actually been threads on this HAL board that have made me laugh out loud. Pretty soon people will be accusing us of being too flippant or ...egad!....HAVING FUN! Thanks KK for this thread.
General Max Posted July 23, 2004 #14 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Reverand Neal, I don't mind the food bits on silverware as long as they are lobster pieces/. General Max

Back around the turn of the millennium all we heard was that HAL and its passengers were all old, dull, bland, and boring. :D "They don't know us very well, do they?" :D

RevNeal Posted July 23, 2004 #18 Share Posted July 23, 2004 That blender could come in handy for that floating cocktail party. That gas-powered one, linked above? Sure would ... except it would make a whole lot of nasty vibration-waves.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 23, 2004 Author #19 Share Posted July 23, 2004 :) When we read that on the other board, DH and I had a good laugh. And we wanted to share it with all the good people on this board since we know some of you don't go to any of the other boards on a regular basis. :)

Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted July 23, 2004 #22 Share Posted July 23, 2004 If you like I could bring my accordion along. I play a mean Beer Barrel Polka. Then I will see if I can bring a Keg of good German Beer, you know for the Keggers on the Promenade Deck;)
