BrushedNickel Posted March 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2016 (edited) Has anyone ordered the "Cruise For Vineyards" option. I tried to get more information about it on the Carnival website, but it just says "Ask your waitstaff." Any input? Is it worth it? TIA Edited March 4, 2016 by BrushedNickel
Pops, Esq. Posted March 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2016 I am going to try to attach the pdf. It's on the Carvnival website, but it's not easy to find.... Prices are $131/$153/$193. Cruise the Vineyards.pdf
Keys2Heaven Posted March 31, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2016 Thank you for this info! My wife prefers Moscato or something lite and sparkling. I'm more adventurous and think this would be great to enjoy at dinner each evening.
nybumpkin Posted March 31, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2016 We order the package every cruise - usually the mid-range priced package, as we find the variety to be good. If you don't finish the bottle, the wait staff can mark it with your cabin number and have it available for you another night.
BeachLoverstoo Posted May 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2016 We've always purchased the package right after we board. There's usually a table set up in the atrium, sometimes out by the pool, where the packages are sold. As stated, there are three levels so you can review the wines offered at each level and decide which one fits your taste. The charge is put on your Sign and Sail card, the coupons are sent to your cabin. We have had great luck with the package as we are wine drinkers and this works well for us. Hand over a coupon to your waiter or even at any bar and tell them what you want. So easy.
Drazil65 Posted May 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2016 We ordered online and then picked up the vouchers from our MDR waiter the first night. It worked out great as we grabbed a bottle at the end of our dinner each night from our waiter (they will take the voucher and bring you the bottle) and took it up to the cabin for later that night on the balcony. We always request ice in our cabin so we put the bottle on ice or in the fridge. You can also get your wine from room service as well, they will send someone up to take the voucher and get your order for what kind of wine you would like then bring it back (took about 20 mins total with room service). jenpsmith Posted May 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2016 If you order the mid or high range package, can you choose a bottle from the lower package? TIA
bigwally Posted June 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 27, 2016 If you order the mid or high range package, can you choose a bottle from the lower package? TIA I have the same question. Would prefer Barefoot Bubbly from lower package while being able to choose a Shiraz (not offered in the lower package) over a Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. Also on the pricing - Carnival web site says $77/$97/$107 for the 3-bottle package, but the PDF they link to with the list says $67/$84/$99. Assumption would be that they raised the prices but forgot to change out the PDF, but I'd obviously like to the lower prices if at all still applicable. :D

NCTribeFan Posted June 27, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I buy a package on every cruise (unless I'm getting drinks from the casino). I normally pick the lower priced option because I prefer the cheaper Pinot Grigio to the one offered in the mid-price package. And, as far as I know, you are limited to the wines on the coupon for the level you purchase. We did run into them not having some of the bottles we selected on the Vista Inaugural and they made substitutions. But, normally, they have these wines in stock and you only get whatever you selected. The wait staff is so overworked these days, I don't think I'd try asking them to switch out the bottles in the package. It's the wait staff who deals with these, not the bar servers wandering the MDR. Maybe if you wanted to redeem one at one of the bars they might be better able to accommodate your request. The first night, I'll order both a bottle or red and of white so there's always something ready for me when I arrive the next night. I typically leave any unfinished bottle in the MDR (and, yes, they will keep them if you have ATD; they just need your folio or cabin number). Aldeya Posted July 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted July 13, 2016 New to this. How does the wine package actually work? I see Deluxe 5 wines package. There are 10 wines listed for this option. Does it mean I have to choose only 5 wines from the offered list or somehow I can mix the selection during the cruise? Thank you.

Gloworm2 Posted May 29, 2017 #16 Share Posted May 29, 2017 Pops, Esq thanks for this. The list of wines are all fairly low end to mid grade. Buy at least they do have my fav Chardonnay. I suppose it will be worth the $153. But what does it mean by 5 wines? Is that the limit of glasses or different types you can try per day? Gloworm2 Posted May 29, 2017 #20 Share Posted May 29, 2017 It doesn't seem to be an option on every ship. I decided to go with the Cheers option (by the glass) since there is no fridge in rooms on my ship to keep the remainder of a bottle of white cold. Plus I get soda and other beverages that way Sent from my iPhone using Forums

happy cruzer Posted July 13, 2017 #23 Share Posted July 13, 2017 So on a Seven day cruise can you buy both a 5 bottle and a 3 bottle package? In particular, a 5 bottle Deluxe and a 3 bottle Premium. We like wine:) Thanks.
bury me at sea Posted July 13, 2017 #24 Share Posted July 13, 2017 Probably a really stupid question, but I've never been accused of being brilliant. Can you get all bottles of the same wine from one of the packages, and have it available each night in the MDR until depleted?
Drazil65 Posted July 13, 2017 #25 Share Posted July 13, 2017 We order this package every trip, it is convenient as you will get the vouchers from your head waiter the first night in MDR. We typically order a bottle when we order dessert each night to bring back to our cabin for our nightly drinks on the balcony. You can also order your bottles through room service once you get the vouchers in hand, they will send someone up to your cabin to get your order and the voucher(s) (you can order a couple of the bottles at once or all for that matter) then bring them back up to you from the bar. Convenient when you are getting ready for dinner to have it delivered to cabin. We enjoy the packages and it makes a nice addition to your cabin to have a few more bottles on hand.
