Here we are! Champagne in hand in the YC terminal waiting room. All very smooth so far. We arrived at 11:45 and a butler took care of most paperwork. First impressions: nice staff, several kids playing - that’s fine with us - we will bring ours later this year!34759b6ad228914ef827a0e6d4b44d6a.jpg

missthesea - Have a wonderful cruise. We’re YC in Nov. On Jan. 14, 2018 ashley@cruisecritic posted links to the spa menu. Unfortunately, when I click on each of them it says "URL signature expired". I would really appreciate it if you could find 3 Seaside spa/salon prices for me:

If you could post the entire Seaside spa and salon price list, great. If not, I’m specifically interested in the price of a manicure, the price of a shampoo and set/style for short hair and the price of a 50-minute "basic" (cheapest) massage. Thanks so much!

I think these posts will be sporadic, but I’ll try to post at least once or twice a day. We were escorted on board with small group of other happy travelers. Our cabin was not ready, so we headed to the spa to book the times for our massage package. I recommend doing this first thing if you have a package.

We then went to the Top Sail lounge and arranged for an 8 pm table for 2 in Arthur’s section - can’t wait to meet him as everyone in these boards say he is so personable. We are eating at the YC pool grill. It is a small selection, but very nice. As others have said, salad is not the strong suit, but there is some, and also fruit. The beef tenderloin here is not overdone, and there are lamb chops and a nice looking pasta dish. Service so far has been excellent, and with smiles.

Were you tied to that 8 PM seating for every night? or was it just the first and you could come anytime after that?

what about reservations for the shows? did you make them yourself or did the Concierge?

Was there any reason you chose lunch at the buffet instead of the restaurant?

We prebooked the Golden Jasmine for couples. Booking it a few months ahead was a great deal - 2 massages, one scrub treatment and one facial for two people - for $550. Price jump to almost $1000 2 weeks ago, and I bet is even more once on board.

When you board, you sit down with the dining manager and talk about times. You CAN eat whenever you like, but they suggest early (5:45 or 6) or later (8 ish) for the best experience.

Shows you must book on your own, but it is very easy using one of the big touchscreens that are everywhere.

Lots of people ate in the dining room for lunch, but we were very hungry and so chose the buffet!

We have an inside YC cabin, 16035. It is small, but really not too bad. There are now two chairs in the room. We could use more drawers and shelves, but we brought magnetic hooks and making good use of those on the walls. It’s nice and quiet and the bed is firm and very comfortable.

Missthesea - looks like the hangers in the closet are like those in cheap hotels....the kind without hooks that you could actually remove from the closet and use them to hang up items, say, on the shower laundry line. True?

No you can remove them, they have hooks on them.

At the end of the night, there are dried fruits and chocolates waiting for you in the lounge. We have been spending most of our days in the YC, enjoying the pool and service. We pop out during the day to explore and stop for gelato and crepes. The ship does not seem crowded anywhere, though drink service is slower. Everyone looks to be having a lot of fun!7965cb11ae9075814c23f80642749a80.jpg7b9f4edb8a08faea97d6938686287ac4.jpg
