I have mine booked for the April 9 to May 23 Med cruise 24 days in a Havana Cabana Cabin can't wait a quite area to be after a long day on excursions, no chair hogs, enjoy the pool and hot tubes, i did not have to think twice about my decision

So we are considering maybe the Horizon for a sailing later this year and curious about the Havana rooms? I like the private area that comes with these! Any thoughts?

I had a Havana inside on the Vista. The pool area is nice and the cabin was nice but if you are a smoker it's not worth to to trek from 5 aft to 5 forward or up to 11 for a smoke.

We did it on the Vista and would not do it again...it was a last minute upgrade from the casino but looking back wish we kept our regular balcony cabin. You have no privacy the walkway to the pool bar area is just outside your patio area so you are constantly shutting the curtains etc...the patio furniture was very low and uncomfortable. On a good note it was quiet I think there was an age restriction like 14 and up.

Once you do Havana...it will be difficult to cruise again without it. Now that the ships are getting more crowded...the private area was so stress free and relaxful. Also, I disagree with the lack of privacy comment above. We had cabin 5239 which was last balcony before pool/bar area. It was fantastic!!! so close to the pool and I swear....other than our neighbors next to us who we talked to frequently when we sat on our porch/balcony...I rarely saw anyone walking on the deck in front of our cabin. This area is restricted to Havana only until 7pm daily. Another bonus is that you can access your cabin from your porch/balcony. They give you a seperate swipe card which also doubles for access at main doors on Deck 5 which leads into Havana. I will agree with 1 comment. Other than the swing seat on your porch...the other 2 chairs were literally unusable!!

  • 3 weeks later...

Thinking of deck 7 aft Havana extended balcony..looking At the rattan furniture..not too thrilled..would rather have chairs..wonder if they can get them if you ask..is it also too sunny?. Also..always get midship..how is movement in aft..any difference in calm seas?
