Cyclone Linda off Queensland Coast

Recommended Posts

Gidday.

I am boarding Explorer of the Seas on Monday.

Just wondering how Linda is likely to affect the course to Mystery Island, Vanuatu & Noumea.

It seems that we are getting a tropical cyclone fortnightly from this region at present.

Cyclone Linda has been downgraded to a tropical low. If you google "cyclone linda tracking" it will show you the expected path of the cyclone. It is five days until Monday, so it may have fizzled out by then, if you are lucky.

Just spotted a FB post saying Cyclone Linda has already fizzled out, she's now been downgraded to a tropical low. There are still weather and surf warnings for the area from Fraser Island to Byron Bay. It should have all cleared away by Monday, TraceyG.

Will this one take away or bring back the sand to GC beaches?

It was eroding the GC beaches today.

Redland City Council established self filling sand bag stations in anticipation of heavy rain at the end of the week.

Self-filling sand bags! Do you think they could extend that concept to a self-filling bank account?

With all the sand gone, it will be a good time to look for the gold.;p

Indeed, have to get ye olde metal detector out and head to the Goldie...the GC council does not need the money, they have heaps and will soon fix up the beaches, all the rates from those high rises, most wealthy local government in Straya.

Geez Mic, you Canberra mob don't carry much money I don't detect much on the beaches down here on the Canberra Gold Coast, lol.:*

Smart enough not to take any gold to the beach, can't trust the security down that way, they just leave it in the safe back at home.;p
