robntawn Posted November 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Just an FYI: the escape room is only bookable on board, and costs eight dollars per person. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

robntawn Posted November 12, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted November 12, 2016 When did they start charging for this? I had thought that this was free. Well it was free. They started charging on this voyage. Lame. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
robntawn Posted November 12, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Remember these words, you will hear them a lot in the future: "it's only a nominal charge". Sent from my iPhone using Forums

robntawn Posted November 13, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted November 13, 2016 (edited) The cruise is over $1000 per person and people are really complaining about 8$? But that's exactly why people are complaining! We've already spent a lot and now it's nickel and diming. A few dollars here. A few dollars there. Only a handful of wines on the package, but for a few dollars more... ColoradoGurl Posted November 13, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2016 It was probably more popular than expected and they realized they could charge for it and people would still book it up. If it makes you feel any better, these rooms on land cost about $30 a person. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

MONKEY20 Posted November 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 13, 2016 I did it in August on the Harmony and it was free. We escaped with 10 minutes to spare. :D Ian
Roo Posted November 13, 2016 #12 Share Posted November 13, 2016 We are booked for a December sailing on the Harmony. From everyone's posts, I assume the Rubicon is an escape room? Are there any small spaces to get through? Approximately how long did it take you to escape? Other than the big slide, I also assumed that everything else was the same as Oasis and Allure that we've sailed. Last question (for now!): Compared to the Allure and Oasis, what else is new on the Harmony? Thanks, Nancy

There is no "physical" escaping. :)

robntawn Posted November 13, 2016 Author #15 Share Posted November 13, 2016 We did pay the money, and it was a lot of fun. I still don't think they should charge. The RCCL employee said that they were having a lot of no-shows and others could not book it, which is why they instituted the charge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you say the same about I-fly and the observation pod on Quantum ships? And yet they are still free. Hmmmm... What I object to is the obvious money grab with everything. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
