Favorite employee on Royal Caribbean

Recommended Posts

The Celebrity board has a great thread going about their favorite waiter. How about one here about your favorite employee on a Royal Caribbean ship?

Mine would be a tie between Matias who helped us in the Windjammer, Safudin, one of the few photographers who can get a picture of me with m eyes open, or Olivia in guest relations, who always had a pleasant answer for me when I had a question for her. These are people who make sailing on the Graundeur so pleasant for us.

Miss them already! Suad was the best waiter in our seven cruises. All of them put together didnt equal him!

It seems like we find a new favorite every time we cruise. On our last two they have been our concierges: Diego on Legend of the Seas and Julian on Enchantment. Deborah Gorman is one of our favorite Loyalty Ambassadors and we have had the pleasure of sailing with her on the Jewel of the Seas, three times in the past. So many of our dining room and bar waiters have provided us with such superlative service that it is difficult if not impossible to single out any particular individuals. Cora, our room steward on the Jewel Transatlantic in 2005 was one of the best that we have experienced.:)

Like Bill, we too seem to find a new "best" on every cruise :)

Dio, our Steward on the Navigator was the very best. Olga and Zee on the Jewel are our favorite MDR servers, and Clinton and Mitzi from the Monarch are our favorite servers in the casino :D

I would have to say my favorite stateroom attendant would be the one from the Bermuda cruise we took. He was personable, friendly, and did a great job. He also found post cards that I left and saved them for me and gave them to me 6 weeks later when I was back on board the ship.

Another great person in Guest Relations is Christos who works on Grandeur. I really don't have that many questions or problems. He and Olivia just go out of their way to make you feel at home on the ship.

My favorite employee was Julia Roberts (not the same one :)) from our Jewel cruise in '05. She was one of the Maitre D's in the Windjammer and made me and Mom feel sooooo welcome every night. RCI if your listening, she is definitely a keeper :p

On Brilliance, it would be Danny the Lobby Bartender, aka Fish.

On our Grandeur repo from Baltimore to NOLA in 2006, it would our room attendant, Mr. T. Excellent service and a great guy!

On Jewel, Andrea was great in the CL. Five stars to her!

On Empress, the entire staff was outstanding!

We have had extremely good service from so many members of the RCCL crew on all of our cruises. We really wish we could remember more names. That is our fault. We were too busy having too much fun to remember those crew members. Sorry.

Wilma, Sr. Head Waitress, on the Explorer!!! Yaba daba dooooooooo!!

We have also loved Deborah Gorman, as Loyalty Ambassador. She's the only one we've ever had who really seemed to "do" her job. I always felt more like cruising with Royal Caribbean after spending time with her.

Waiter on Mariner - Mauricio from Mexico

Waiter on AOS - Benjamin from Phillipines

We also thought Dennis Sciortino was an outstanding CD, even better than Becky.

And Capt Per on Mariner is so humble, and we loved that he walked around the ship interacting one-on-one with the passengers -- we were impressed with his interest in whether or not we were having a good time, and with his patience in answering our teenager's questions about the ship.

We would have to second the vote for Trudy Julius --Monarch. She is by far one of our favorites.

I haven't been on RCI yet but my favorite steward was also "Franklin" but he was on Carnival Fantasy in Nov 2006. I wonder if it could be the same one. Our Franklin taught the towel folding class and we had the most wonderful towel animals. :)
