mspink98 Posted January 2, 2010 #51 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Friend of mine I was on my last cruise with heard about a special champagne cocktail that the champagne bar bartenders would make, but it's not on the menu. Has rose water in it and is delicious... Any ideas as to what it is? I had that several years ago and they called it a Royal Caribbean. It was delicious. However, the same bar on the same ship one year later, and the bartender looked at me like I was crazy for ordering one. So, YMMV.
Rala Posted January 2, 2010 #52 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Our Recipe, tried and true is free pour. Ketel or Belvedere Vodka, Chambord and a SPLASH of pineapple..MMmmm Delish! (it equates to 2 parts vodka, 1 part chambord, splash of pineapple) Its 5 o'clock somewhere! YUM! I am going to have to try that! Marci's version sounds good, too. Thanks! Tamerella Posted January 2, 2010 #53 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Think I'll definitely have to try one of those on the Navigator this month! Do you think they'll make it at the Pool or Sky Bar? No...you have to get it in Boleros...it is PERFECTLY yummy....like a little taste of heaven in your mouth! :D See ya on the Navigator!!
azldw Posted January 2, 2010 #54 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Made the mistake of checking out the BOS champagne bar on my last cruise Tried a Kir Royale and immediately fell in love... Hit the champagne bar every night before dinner after that! It will be my first drink on my next cruise (also BOS) in May. Counting the days. Sugar*Magnolia Posted January 2, 2010 #55 Share Posted January 2, 2010 YUM! I am going to have to try that! Marci's version sounds good, too. Thanks! As long as you have the right 3 ingredients, you're good to go! they do come out a little different with different parts, I like it with the extra 1/2 ounce of chambord and less pineapple (altho I love pineapple, lol) I will have one tonight! lol
marci22 Posted January 2, 2010 #56 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Chambord is usually one of the few items I purchase in the Caribbean as it is often at a good savings.

TravelLady928 Posted January 5, 2010 #62 Share Posted January 5, 2010 My absolute favorite on RCCL is the Mango Tango! It's 1/2 Pina Colada and 1/2 Mango Slush. Nothing better by the pool!!! At night I switch to Captain and Diet. Yum! Here is another vote for the Mango Tango! I also love the 1/2 Pina colada 1/2 strawberry daquiri...not sure what it's called though...at night I switch to Vodka tonics with lots of lime... jimcradd Posted January 5, 2010 #63 Share Posted January 5, 2010 We enjoy a Long Island Ice Tea at the Sky Bar...Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Rum, Triple Sec, and a splash of sweet n sour, with a dash of coke to make it look like tea. A killer drink so they put a caution label on it to only drink two and slowly. Love the Long Island Ice Tea also. Although Princess has a Beverly Hills Ice Tea. All the same liquor, but instead of the sweet n sour it's fresh squeezed lime juice and a little simple syrup and champagne instead of coke. I'm going to see if i can get on the next RCL cruise. Dall Posted January 5, 2010 #66 Share Posted January 5, 2010 You gotta share the duck farts:eek: One of my favoites is in the champagne bar, mojito champagne. I, also, am writing down some of these drinks that are being suggested. Hmm, I see 2 other people have posted on this that are going on the same cruise as I am in January:cool:

coast2coast Posted January 5, 2010 #69 Share Posted January 5, 2010 Duck Farts OK, I googled it, and here's the recipe I found (there are modified ones on this website: http://www.drinksmixer.com/cat/438/ ...and there's even something called a moose fart that you can find on that same page... 1/2 oz Jack Daniel's® Tennessee whiskey 1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur 1/2 oz Bailey's® Irish cream Sounds like it would be a great one to have at night in the Viking Crown Lounge (or whatever they're calling it these days...) Some of the names of these drinks must get a chuckle from the bartenders... "Oh, excuse me, can I please have a Duck Fart and a Kiss on the Lips?" cewtaldad Posted January 5, 2010 #70 Share Posted January 5, 2010 I am a fan of Crown Royal so my favorite drink is equal parts Crown Royal and Chambord with a splash of cranberry juice served in a chilled martini glass. This is a variation of the Washington apple but I don't believe it has a name.:)
