According to the carnival website the Fantasy does have Seuss at sea events but what these events are I have no idea. Perhaps someone who has sailed on the ship since its upgrade could provide a more detailed answer,

Paul

Questions for someone who has sailed recently:

1. When does the coffee shop open on the first day?

2. Is coffee served at the atrium bar?

3. What time do the Red Frog and Blue Iguana bars open each day?

Thanks!

Erin

Seuss At Sea events include a parade with the characters (Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and 2, etc.) and also for $5.00 breakfast with the characters as well as Seuss inspired menu (green eggs and ham, etc.) I don't have small children and have not been, but I'v heard from others that it's fun to go to even if you don't have kids with you.

It has been over six years since my wife and I last cruised aboard Fantasy from the Port of Mobile. We are now booked on Fantasy's inaugural "Return to Moble" cruise on November 9, 2016. The countdown for that cruise is currently just about five and a half months. We can't wait.

I liked sailing out of mobile. Nice terminal and easy to get in and out. Takes a while to get out of the bay but other then that it is a great port to sail out of.

Asking for clarification on dining.

The MDR is only open for dinner EXCEPT for sea days when it's open for brunch. ...is that correct?

So breakfast and lunch are not in the MDR?

So that means breakfast/lunch are on Lido/buffet or Guys burger etc.

Just making sure I have this straight.

Breakfast is offered in the MDR on port days and debarkation day.

You can have breakfast every morning, in the DR, except embarkation day. We never eat Lido breakfast. It has always been good and hot. "Fresh" scrambled eggs or omelettes are great. We do plan on taking our time. Best for Lido, if in a hurry.

Sea Day Brunch, only on sea days. Lido lunch on port days. Longer voyages often add another DR lunch.

Hours are in the Fun Times. They do vary, based on port arrival times.

I just received email confirmation of our reservations for The Captain's Table.

What's interesting to me is that we leave July 25th and had heard from others on this board the Chef's table is generally on Sea Day which would be the 28th.

Our email says Captain Table is the 25th at 6pm.

So it'll be the day we embark?

We depart Miami at 4pm.

So it'll be 2 hours after we sail?

I'm just surprised.

Btw, anyone know where Chef's Table is held on The Fantasy?

My husband and I sailed the Fantasy on our honeymoon in 1991. We just booked a cruise for July 2017 sailing out of Mobile. So excited to sail on this ship again. I should probably try to find out what cabin we were in all those years ago.
