DP Posted August 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2010 Is this wine still being served at the Diamond evening functions. I am keeping my fingures crossed that they have finally run out.

aldewitt Posted August 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2010 If they served the good stuff you'd have no incentive to buy the expensive stuff.
BillB48 Posted August 27, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2010 Actually they are holding back on Wal-Mart's Oak Leaf... that's for special occasions;):D!
hockeyken Posted August 27, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2010 :confused: I just cannot understand the corporate thinking behind "You are our most loyal customers...here's what we think of you" (cue service of the rot gut wine. ) This wine was once submitted to a University Lab for analysis. The return letter from the lab read: " Congratulations. Your horse is pregnant."

Not only is it served at the nightly Diamond function, but it's also served at the Portofino Mystery Dinner Theater, where you pay $50 a person for the privilege! Mark_K Posted August 27, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2010 I never look a gift horse in the mouth. I've found the trick is to drink the first few glasses really quickly. After that it tastes pretty good.
bajathree Posted August 27, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 27, 2010 If you drink enough of it you can't tell how bad it really is.....it's just getting over the hump to reach that point.
CP3o Posted August 27, 2010 #10 Share Posted August 27, 2010 This is why I can't get excited about cruising first time on ship with DL. Can any of the wine experts on this thread recommend a good red sold by the glass on rccl to use the bogo coupon with?

39august Posted August 27, 2010 #13 Share Posted August 27, 2010 Yes, in the DL you get exactly the same drink set up and other amenities as the CL does. So order a drink if you don't care for the wine!
