Sunkissed Mommy Posted October 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Hi Everyone! I am feeling rather stumped right now! I am looking at a booking invoice for a friend and I see ROY DAY/DAY listed under booking charges. I've done a screen capture to show you what I'm referring to: Does anyone know what ROY DAY/DAY means or refers to? We both called Royal and the "robots" on the other end of the line kept saying " Ma'am if there is a zero dollar amount it does not affect your booking price." I got really irritated because he repeated it to me a good 5 times. Every time he said it I told him he must be confused because I am not complaining about it being on there, I just want to know what it is!!!! Can anyone help? Coralc Posted October 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Can I guess? :D And it's just a guess, could it be the Royal Day Spa? Obviously you haven't booked anything, but maybe it is a line item in case you do? :)
Sunkissed Mommy Posted October 6, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted October 6, 2010 It would be nice if they are throwing in a FREE Spa Day :D
MelissaE1 Posted October 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2010 My invoice for Oasis has the same type of thing, except it says FLWRIDER/ROY with a zero charge instead. I'm guessing the spa idea isn't far off. No clue why it's there, I've never made a ressie for anything to do with the Flowrider.

ChipLondon Posted October 7, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 7, 2010 I think it might be associated with the new day pass, that is available on European cruises. It allows guests to stay on board longer on the day of debarkation.

Sunkissed Mommy Posted January 9, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted January 9, 2011 Has anyone found out for sure what these codes mean?? Not sure and I never received anything special or anything indicating what it could be while on that cruise. I'm still stumped!

nopa9 Posted July 29, 2011 #12 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I have the same thing on my statement and I'm clueless as well. Using my RCI credit card I've redeemed some onboard credits and champagne and strawberries, so maybe its linked to the champagne.
jkallet Posted September 25, 2011 #13 Share Posted September 25, 2011 But not my cabin! They are in an N and I am in a D2 across the hall. And I'm a travel agent and can't get an answer!!!
eric1e Posted April 5, 2012 #14 Share Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Hey Y'all, This just popped up in my reservation as well. It did not appear initially. Anybody figure it out? Edited April 5, 2012 by ericle37
newbiecruiser09 Posted April 5, 2012 #15 Share Posted April 5, 2012 Just a thought: Could it be that you (or whoever is seeing this code) have filled out the online waivers for yourself or for kids for activities? Maybe that triggered it?
Arzeena Posted April 5, 2012 #16 Share Posted April 5, 2012 Perhaps it means you are getting a Royal Upgrade !:D
Rancher Dave Posted April 6, 2012 #17 Share Posted April 6, 2012 Means there was some form of manual override on pricing. Took a lot of digging when it showed up for me at Christmas last year. Also took Dplus desk person to explain code...lots of others asked along the way.

Rancher Dave Posted April 6, 2012 #19 Share Posted April 6, 2012 so sadly it means nothing to the cruiser? Dreams of an upgrade or something of that nature dead. HAHA I hoped it meant a free day spa treatment...on well. That is one reason I dug in deep with different reps until I could get a real answer. TheMiz Posted March 25, 2017 #24 Share Posted March 25, 2017 Yeah but, 5 years later? I wonder if the code even exists anymore. Actually it does, I have 5 bookings and it is showing up on our Aug TA cruise but nothing on the other 4 cruises. Under my name it says PREPAID INTE, ROY DAY/DAY under my wife is just says Roy Day/Day. Of course the PREPAID INTE was easy to figure out but not sure about the dreaded Roy Day/Day
nelblu Posted March 25, 2017 #25 Share Posted March 25, 2017 LOL sometimes you need to just to kick start it back to life, to hopefully get an answer . Yes, Day/day means: You are grandfathered and do not have to pay for room service. LOL Wow, never realized the age of original post.
