Cruising89143 Posted November 10, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2010 The Boardwalk Dog House is officially in operation. I'm glad to see RCI add this. This along with Rita's is going to be a benefit for the Boardwalk. http://www.allureoftheseas.com/video.php?ship=allure
Puffinater Posted November 10, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2010 Looks like another one we will be checking out. Thanks for posting.
cooncat Posted November 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2010 It looks great!!! I wish I were able to be on her during the next year, but it doesn't look possible. This and the Central Park Cafe, too great free places to go.

Puffinater Posted November 10, 2010 #7 Share Posted November 10, 2010 I like it because typically we eat a light lunch and this will give us another option that should be fast and easy.
bajathree Posted November 10, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 10, 2010 I like it because typically we eat a light lunch and this will give us another option that should be fast and easy. I expect this venue to be as popular/crowded as the soft serve machine.
BethV114 Posted November 11, 2010 #9 Share Posted November 11, 2010 I only wish they would have vegetarian options. I didn't see any mention of a veggie dog option in the video on Allure's website. I don't eat meat, but I do love veggie dogs, so this is actually a bit of a bummer for me.:(
denamo Posted November 11, 2010 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Really hoped the Captain would highlight the Dog House. I was delighted to see this was the subject of today's video report. Looks just like something that will add more life to the Boardwalk.
Booking It Posted November 11, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 11, 2010 I am very excited for the Dog House! I completely agree with the other posters... that and Rita's seem like they will add some life to the Boardwalk. I'm excited to try the different kinds of sausage. The Austrian one sounds intriguing. Though it's too bad they chose a Coney Island style dog as opposed to a Chicago style dog ;)
Rare BecciBoo Posted November 11, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 11, 2010 My DH Todd is a sausage, hot dog addict. Any type of brat will be his first choice to eat anywhere. Hope there are lots of different types of brats to choose from.:p
Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted November 11, 2010 #13 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Hubby, my son and his fiance are going to be thrilled with the Dog House brats. WOW! The hot dogs will be free! I bet the line will be a mile long. I agree with the poster above who wished there was a veggie dog option. Maybe I'll allow myself one little bite of Hubby's brat. I'm SO EXCITED to be sailing on Allure!
Rare shipshape sam Posted November 11, 2010 #14 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Looks like another great eating venue! What is RCL thinking?! That we need to eat/drink 24/7? I am going to be pressed to try out all the various places to eat! Will make a determined effort even giving certain venues second chances. :)

I didn't see any mention of a veggie dog option in the video on Allure's website. I don't eat meat, but I do love veggie dogs, so this is actually a bit of a bummer for me.:( Send an email to RCI and ask them to add it to the menu. Would not take much on their part to do this. They offer a veggie burger at JR's so I could see them adding it.
WhiteSoxFan Posted November 11, 2010 #16 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Looking forward to a brat. I wonder if I can get a good Chicago style dog?

kahliasmom Posted November 12, 2010 #19 Share Posted November 12, 2010 does anyone know if the pets at sea store which is kind of like a build a bear workshop, will still be there? It is right next to the ice cream shop on the Oasis.
GSuitesailing Posted November 12, 2010 #20 Share Posted November 12, 2010 Allure will still have Boardwalk donuts. :) That's great. I read the Donut Shop will be a much smaller venue on the Boardwalk. I think most of us agree the Dog House is a better use of the space than the Donut Shop. It seems RCL is quickly changing things that didn't work as well as they had hoped on Oasis. Good for them & good for us!
Jo and Rob Posted November 12, 2010 #21 Share Posted November 12, 2010 does anyone know if the pets at sea store which is kind of like a build a bear workshop, will still be there? It is right next to the ice cream shop on the Oasis. It appears on the Allure Deck Plans so I would think so although they are not entirely accurate as I have mentioned in a different post. I imagine that was probably quite a success on the Oasis so they will probably keep it. We plan on doing a LIVE FROM when we board her next Friday so I'll let you know!
