BON VOYAGE ..World Cruise 2011 Dawn Princess

Recommended Posts

She's late departing...

In this case I would not worry.

I think that they would have "rather a lot" to load on board for 105 days.

Did you catch this shot from the Roll Call thread.

Here is joannes luggage ready to go this morning.

She is probably still trying to unpack , and stow it all away in the cabin.

OMG.... I presume they live within driving distance to Darling Harbour. Wouldn't want to check all that in on a flight..

Thats the beauty of sailing Sydney to Sydney...

No flights.

Sweet.

Wonder how much they will bring back?.

When we cruised on Canberra from Southampton to Auckland, you could bring as much personal luggage as you liked.

A lady at our table , brought her Jaguar car back with her to NZ ,

at no charge.:)

Great photo of the luggage! I can't begin to imagine packing for that long.

It is not a pleasant day to be leaving Sydney harbour. I live about 4 hours drive north of Sydney and it has been wet, cold and windy all day today down this part of the coast to Sydney.

I bet the world cruisers don't care about the weather! A couple of celebratory glasses of bubbly and they will think the sun is shining.

Wonder how they all feel with departure day finally here, anticipation, excitement. Hope no one gets on board and wonders if they turned the iron off at home before leaving!:p

OMG her Jaguar..... wow.... and no charge. Don't think they would offer that these days.

I hope Jo takes a photo of her baggage after 106 days....;)

5:17pm and they're still docked at Darling Harbour.... must be all that luggage... lol

We have chatted about that, and if we ever did a WC, we would have house sitters in.

But how do you choose a good one?

Friends went off for a long trip and had house sitters...

but the sitters were so keen, they overwatered all the indoor plants and rotted the carpet,

which had to be replaced when our friends came home.

I don't think that they will be able to enter their cabin, unless they have been upgraded to a suite!!!:):):):)

That would have been a nasty homecoming! House sitters are a great idea, but finding a good one is always a bit of a quandry.

Bon voyage to the world cruisers who are finally underway. I will be keeping tabs on the blogs from my desk at lunch time :(. Sadly I can only be a lurker while at work.

Our neighbours enjoyed their first world cruise in 2009 on Dawn Princess so much they are also on this one. I'm not jealous......much.

I think they might be in for a bumpy ride tonight once outside the Heads. It ain't pretty out there .

To everyone on board...have the time of your life!
