They have a real problem to get those in wheelchairs up to the entrance of the DL. Somebody has to be there to operate the chair lift which is not the case when the Concierge is not there. :( They really didn't think things through very well, IMHO.

 

Reyno was allowing at least 1 guest in a motorized scooter that we knew of on our April 1 cruise to use the CL during the day only because there was no one there to operate the lift for her to get up to the DL. Problem was that once she entered the CL, someone had to be inside the lounge to move the chairs so that she could make her way into the lounge.

Thanks! That's where Vision did a little cocktail hour a couple years ago for the D+ and Suite guests. Pretty view, but not really easy to get up there.

Here is Deck 11 on Enchantment. The CL is actually on the opposite side from where it is indicated on this link http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/ship/decks/deck/home.do?deckCode=VC&shipCode=EN&shipProfile=1508&sailDate=1130425&hasNavigation=false so when exiting the elevators you would go to your left and up the ramp. At the top to your left is the door to the CL and the DL is to your right up 4 steps. The DL is located in the circular section of the print.

 

There is no access to an outside area but when sitting in a chair you do get some outside view. The DL looks over the entire VCL. It is quite spacious and comfortable.

There is a support poll as you walk in close to the wall in the CL. With the 4 chairs next to the window, it almost impossible to get a wheel chair through much less a motorized scooter.

Just off Indy TA with Indy going directly to drydock in Germany. Raj was concierge and says he will be there until Sept. 1. He doesn't know who his replacement will be when he goes on vacation.

We are really sad not to have Diego in May as well. Absolutely our favorite concierge ever! And, we booked because he was close to home only to find out that he is leaving the ship before we board. Sad!!!
