Captain claims he "tripped" into a lifeboat... what?

Recommended Posts

Sounds like he's lawyered up already ( and they sound like American lawyers;):D

If he had American lawyers they would have told him to shut up, keep a low profile and don't talk to anyone without them being present. This man just keeps digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself.

What? You never "tripped" into a lifeboat???? It happens to me all the time. One time I'm standing on deck and..BAM!!...I'm in a lifeboat.... I just thought it occured to everyone aboard at least a couple of times.....:D

Toooooo funny!! :D:D

I came across this article on the Costa board... I didn't realize that this captain didn't even give the order to abandon ship! It was another off-duty Costa captain who just happened to have hitched a ride on the ship to the next port... unbelievable! This story gets crazier and crazier.

If the account in that article is true, I think it proves the extent to which Schettino is a outlier among captains (and that the other captain acted heroically).
