Air Fresheners for Room/Bathroom ???

I've seen many posts about bring air fresheners - what kind exactly do you bring that is allowed onboard with no problems? Aerosol spray can? Liquid spray bottles (Febreeze, etc.)? Solids? :confused:

I don't bring the spray. I use those small things that are decorative and have the liquid inside that constantly releases the good smell.

Bath and Body Works makes a tiny little pump aerosol that is great. Plus they have all the great B&BW scents!

I use the ones similar to the cardboard car fresheners that hang off the mirror, getting them at the dollar store. They are small and easy to pack

I use the same thing and they worked fine for us. I have never got them at the dollar store, but will have to check that out.

GF bought a couple of these...with different scent. one for the room and one for the bathroom. worked great!

Well, to put it delicately-the bathroom has no exhaust fan:eek: so on certain occasions you will need something to "freshen the air"!

We always bring scented Lysol. You kill 2 birds with one stone. We ALWAYS sanitize all handles, phones,light switches, remotes ect. Not just on cruises but hotels as well. Better safe than sorry :)

We use Lysol spray or a natural air freshener we buy at the hardware store. It comes in many different forms and works better than anything else in my opinion.

i usually will bring the small lysol sprays if i can find them....other than that, , most of the sweet smelling stuff makes me violently ill...

I've always brought one of those Renuzit cone shaped types. Makes the room smell great.

Actually, there is a passive exhaust system in the cabin bathroom.....there's a vent in the ceiling or top of the wall...air is pulled out all of the time.

We always bring that little cone shape thing with the plastic lid. They work great in the bathroom and stateroom.

 

Regardless of someone using the restroom, I think they always have a certain bad odor.:eek:

We bring scentsy auto disks or room tins depending on what kind of scent I want to have.

This is exactly why I was wondering why people would bring an air freshener. I guess I'm in the minority because I don't use air fresheners at home and wouldn't think of bringing something like that with me on vacation. Kudos to those who think of everything! :)

Usually you can't miss the exhaust event. I've never had a cabin on any ship that you couldn't here it and it is plainly visible in the ceiling.

Yes, I buy those too, and Yankee candle also has the small sprays.

those small sprays are the best, can easly pack in your quart size bag for the flight. about the shape of a pen...

Some have said the bathrooms, and sometimes hallways, have the sewage smell. Others say the rooms have a smell. Guess it's like some hotels that have a musty smell. Mostly just wondering if it was bad enough to warrant bringing air freshener. Looks like most people bring everything but the kitchen sink (and some probably would if they could sneak it in) Ha Ha !! :D Appreciate all the replies !!
