Himself Posted May 6, 2012 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2012 Thanks for the update. Sorry I am late responding but I was at the Dinner for the K of C's state convention in Illionois and got in quite late. I checked the Port Everglades web cam and the only ship in is the Allure of The Seas. The once busy port is now rather quiet. Still wish there was a HAL ship in there. Love Florida. Himself Thoses of us in ft. Lauderdale do enjoy our quiet time. We love our city too and enjoy it more when it's not so crowded. I do enjoy going over the 17th street bridge and seeing the beautiful ships. Just not 10 in one day!
Himself Posted May 6, 2012 #12 Share Posted May 6, 2012 About three years ago I caught the Zuiderdam on its first "Sunfarer Cruise" and I got down to FLL a bit early and did the "Water Taxi". I remember the guide showing us one condo along New River and he said "there is no one here as they are all snow birds who come down in January." I went buy that place in January and it was swimming with people. So, you are crowded in winter even before there are ships.
KNOT2L82SAIL Posted May 6, 2012 #13 Share Posted May 6, 2012 Does anyone know if when ship leaves Canada Place, can it be seen on the Katkam? I miss the webcam that used to show the harbor and you could watch the ships sail out. The one that is left showing the harbor just does not cut it. Thanks in advance.
