"LIVE" from Enchantment of the Seas- Bermuda / May 11, 2012

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. . .

We just finished our dinner in the My Fair Lady Dining room. . .They served a ton of Lobster there, and I can tell you that multiple lobsters were being served to many passengers. I heard that the Prime Rib was excellent as well. . . My favorite dessert was the Pineapple Sorbet. . .

I went up to the Crown and Anchor Top Tier Event up in the Starlite Lounge on Deck 6. John Blair thanked everyone for their loyalty, and introduce the Loyalty Ambassador. The Captain and the Sr. Officers were there, but did not come up on stage to talk.

There was a Live Band entertaining the passengers, and drinks and snacks were served.

I had a very nice Bridge Tour this afternoon before dinner, and I love to get invited on the Bridge tours and it is nice to hear the descriptions from different officers. . .We were allowed to go out on the Bridge Wing and learn about the controls and take a few photos. The Officers on the Bridge are very proud to talk about the details of all of the instruments. .

Here are a few pics from this afternoon. . . More pics tomorrow !

Thanks for tuning in !

Hello everyone. . . Welcome to DAY 6 of “LIVE” from Enchantment of the Seas.

We are currently about 225 nm from the Cape Henry Pilot Station, just east of Virginia Beach. It appears that today can be called a “Dark and Stormy” day. . .Hey, isn’t that one of the favorite drink selections of Bermuda ? Oh well. . .Yes it is the first day we have encountered rain, cloudy skies, and rough seas. . . It is a little rough outside, but if it has to rain only one day. . . I am glad that it is the last see day.

I am surprised that I have not been swimming in any of the pools this Cruise. . . It seems that there has been too much to do. Today might be the day that I jump in to the freshwater pool (FWD of the Centrum)

I just need to remember to return my RCI towel so there will not be a surprise charge on my bill. . .

There are a lot of activities planned for today, including Cake decorating, the Parade of Flags, and Captains Corner. I am sure that all of the outdoor activities will be moved inside, due to the wind and rain. I was hoping to get a few pics from the Jump Zone, but it may not happen.

Here are a few pics from this morning, and I hope to have a few more pics later. . .

Radio

The Starbucks “Oasis” on Deck 6 should bring a smile to my face after my 1st Café Americano. . .

(but I have to wait until 7AM for them to open)

I love all your LIVE reports. I've read quite a few over the past year while planning our 1st cruise on the Explorer. I have a question about the Starbucks onboard. Do they have soy milk for lattes and such? I'd much prefer a soy latte over a cocktail any day. Also, do they accept their gift cards as payment or does the cost just go on your seapass?

Thanks and enjoy your last day.

Thanks Radio!

If you have not seen the cake decorating try to catch that. I had never seen it until our cruise in March on EOS and it was hilarious!! Get there early for a good place to stand at the rail and look down onto the Centrum stage.

No they do not accept SB gift cards on EN and you can get soy milk....

Starbucks Gift cards are accepted on Oasis and Allure of the Seas.

Sorry to hear about the wet weather. It is sunny here this morning in NJ after some thunder storms last evening. Hopefully it will all pass over and you will sail into sunny weather! Thanks again for posting! We will be on the Ex in Sept on the 7 day!

It sounds like you're getting the weather we had in Baltimore yesterday morning. It should get better today and stay that way (let's keep our fingers crossed),

I'll try again on the jump zone next week.

Bummer!!

Too bad it's rainy, try and enjoy the spa, casino or the indoor demonstrations today.

I think is more fun when you can enjoy the views and activities on deck.

Have a great day at sea today Radio.

Radio, I've heard that when in port in Bermuda that the shows are not production shows due to some regulation by Bermuda. So what shows are available while in port? We go for 3 days in Oct. Thanks again for your LIVE review I look forward to every one of your LIVE reviews. Pat

Sailing tomorrow on Enchantment. Those sea photos don't look very promising. And after all those gorgeous shots of Bermuda. But I'm not shooting the messenger. LOL

Cruise pup,

You will have a great time in Bermuda.

When we were there last week the forcast was for rain during the morning,

but we had no rain, thank God. They are not having very much rain this year.

We found a lot of places were the grass was brown.

Hopefuly it will be warmer weather for you all, the water temp was cold.
