Platinum and getting to your cabins when boarding?

I know they are already trying the FTTF on imagination and liberty and are allowing platinum to get to cabins early. I am wondering if all ships are now allowing platinum to get to their cabin early to drop off carry one. We will be platinum on the destiny in October. Sure would be awesome we can Thanks for your help :)

On the FTTF page on Carnivals site it says that there is no need for platinum and diamond members to purchase because it is already a part of the VIFP benefits so one would assume that would be fleet wide. But when I look at the VIFP benefits I do not see this listed... I guess I was not as much help as I thought I was being.

Im not purchasing the package as I already qualify for everything FTTF gets plus. I'm just not sure about being able to get to my room right away being platinum (sailing destiny)

Hopefully someone can clear this up in the morning. I guess no, not until it is available fleetwide.

Just off the Victory yesterday. First platinum cruise so I have no standard for comparison....

Platinum worked great in our opinion! We bypassed hoards of people at noon when boarding the ship and were checked in and on the ship in 5 minutes. We went straight to the room to check out the location and it was ready for us. No other rooms in the immediate area looked to be ready because the doors were all open so we assumed it was because of the platinum status.

Getting into that room was really a bonus! We unpacked, changed our clothes and headed to the lido with no luggage!! It was really nice!

Another platinum perk that was really a benefit was being seated immediately at Anytime Dining. We were running late one evening and showed up to eat at 8pm. They were turning people away who were in the line in front of us, telling them that the wait was around an hour. We gave our name expecting to have to come back and they had us stand to the side then seated us in a couple of minutes.

Platinum was a good experience.

Not that would be a great Platinum perk if it goes fleet wide.

everything ive read is the early cabin is just on the ships with the new program.. But i could be wrong.. In order to get the rooms ready for when you embark would they have to kick the old passengers out by 830 9am in order to turn around all platiums, diamonds and f2tf paxs?

Just off the liberty on Saturday. The platinum was great. Easy getting on the ship and then we went right to our cabin and our luggage was already there.

Quick note. When checking in bags we took them to a special line for f2tf and platinum/diamond members. That's how the bags get to your room quickly. All the porters in Miami had list with people's name on them who had the status

We met two families that used the f2tf and said it was worth it.

I think you are correct, it goes along with the FTTF program, and is only available on those ships.

That's the first I've heard of something like that. I sure hope it becomes a perk. They do that in Vegas casinos where they set aside tables for their VIP's.

Much like the new drink program I'm sure it will be rolled out slowly based on popularity.

Just off Spirit this past Tuesday. Went immediately to our cabin. (11:30 a.m.) Felt a bit wierd, as we just opened the closed fire/water doors to our section, walked past the piles of new and old linens (yes, they DO change the bedding between cruises!) and stewards vacuuming the cabins like we owned the ship. (not my usual mind-set or personality) Our cabin door was propped open - we walked in, unpacked our carryon, set the safe with a card, and hung in the cabin for a bit. No one bothered us. No one had any idea if we were VIFP or not. For the first time, we got our luggage before muster. I know this program was not due to be implemented on the Spirit yet, but since it was part of the VIFP "perks" I was going to try to use it!:D

I've always had to be out of the room by 8:30 on my Carnival cruises. Or at least in the debark information it strongly request you be out of your room by at least 8:30. So, that hasn't changes. They are probably changing the priority of which rooms get cleaned first, so they will be ready first.

Most passengers won't get on the ship any earlier than 11am. So even if they can't start on rooms until 9am..........that is 2 hours to clean the priority rooms and then other passengers won't be "let" into rooms until 1:30, so that is another 2.5 hours to finish the other rooms. Not saying that trying to clean that many rooms in 2 hours is easy, I would never belittle the huge job the stewards have.

If you ask will they direct you to the correct place to drop off your bags? Or is it apparent?

We always drive to the port and park. The porters take your luggage and direct you to the lane they want you in to stop the vehicle so they can take your bags. They don't know if you're FTTF or VIP until you get out of your vehicle. So maybe it's their responsibility to take care of the bags and put them in the right pile???

It's apparant .. and then some. Sometimes I feel like I am being rushed .. and I am one who wants to carry on my bags lol. Those porters can be aggressive to get those $1 tips imo.

That's what I'm trying to figure out, the previous poster said they were directed to a baggage and line area for FTF and P/D members.

Carnival really needs to give better instructions, I think it would really help alleviate most of the confusion.

It's probably different at every port. We'll just have to wait and see how all this works out everywhere.

Your luggage tags will have FTTF or VIP on them. I'm guessing they simply get thrown on a different cart, or they're separately sorted after they go through the screening. Then those will go to the cabins first.

I like to unpack as soon as I can and get on with my vacation, so having my bags there quickly would be nice.

Just off the Freedom as Platinum and had no issue with going to our room at 12:15. We simply opened the doors and entered. We were stopped by an officer in white and showed our cards and he let us proceed, a couple who entered right behind us were asked to return the way they came as their room would not be ready until 1:30. When they protested that we were permitted to continue, the officer explained that we were VIP guests and our room was already prepared. When we arrived it was ready and all those around ours was not.
