kahtrav Posted March 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I'm trying to get myself to a place that I can make the jump to the Princendam 68 day SA/Antarctica 2014, but, we are headed out soon on a TA on Ryndam and an extended time in Spain. Do I dare wait until I am back in early summer, or will cabins all be taken (M class is already only a guarantee)? I have the Zaandam booked, but we're continuing to be lured by the Grand Voyage - but then I started looking at World voyages, which had seemed out of our reach, but aren't that far beyond this one. Oh, what to do?! If I'm going to book Princendam, how soon do I need to do it (probably G oceanview)?
CruiserBruce Posted March 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2013 You should expect all ships to sail full, or so close to full you can't tell the difference. As to when it sells out, there are cruises on HAL that sell out an year in advance of sailing. It all depends on the sailing. Prisendam is a special ship, with a very loyal following. Antartica is a very special journey. It will sell pretty quickly. I wouldn't wait.
Krazy Kruizers Posted March 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2013 I wouldn't wait. The Prinsendam is a small ship and the cheaper cabins will sell out faster for the longer cruises. Why not book a guarantee and maybe you will be ucky and get an upgrade to a better cabin?
sail7seas Posted March 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2013 You can never tell what ship will fill up when. Prinsendam sails full usually like all the HAL ships but you can't know a specific cruise will well out when. If you don't want a chance a disappointment, book it now. catl331 Posted March 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2013 Usually on HAL's Antarctic and Voyage of the Vikings, it is smart to book early.
