Thank you. You are correct, Ricky Martins break. Jimmy Rhodes was originally scheduled to be back on Grandeur for September - he mentioned he'd see us on the Canada New England Cruise. But the schedules, and his transition to Quantum, came.

 

Only possible hitch to Blairs coming (besides being tentatively listed for Enchantment) is that unless schedules change Darryl Dyball is scheduled to come back as activities manager in late November.

 

Oops, I totally missed that they are already scheduled for Enchantment! lol I suppose we'll just have to wait and see who gets the assignment!

Donna, on the Aus/NZ boards on the roll call for the VOS Oct 24 sailing out of Singapore, one of our roll call members 'ozbrian' has recently posted "This was a source of discussion early in the piece, but I've just been told that the Cruise Director for this sailing is Luke Arrowsmith (English)." It's not confirmed, which is why I put it in red with a ?

 

However, Dennis and Carly have been regularly alternating on Jewel for over a year, so unless an unexpected reassignment happens, it will likely be Dennis.

 

 

BTW - I think Dennis is a wonderful CD, and I'd love to sail with him again someday. Carly was just OK, in our experience.

From what you posted about Quantum it sounds like Richard and Ken will be working together. Why not either alone? (Sorry if this has already been asked.) Also, planning Allure in August, with Ken preparing to take out Quantum does that mean he probably won't be around on that ship for the summer?

Supposedly, Richard will be the CD, but Ken is going be handling a lot of the "behind the scenes" CD duties to allow for a smoother takeout.

 

Richard indicated that he will likely have one more contract on Freedom after his current one. Likewise, it stands to reason that by late spring/early summer, there will be another regular CD assigned to Allure to alternate with Allan Brooks.

Supposedly, Richard will be the CD, but Ken is going be handling a lot of the "behind the scenes" CD duties to allow for a smoother takeout.

 

Richard indicated that he will likely have one more contract on Freedom after his current one. Likewise, it stands to reason that by late spring/early summer, there will be another regular CD assigned to Allure to alternate with Allan Brooks.

 

Thanks! I hope I do get Allan. Heard good things about him. Wish I could have Richard again as he's my favorite, but I'd gladly avoid Ken Rush.

Donna, I really appreciate your hard work in keeping this site updated. We will be sailing on the Brilliance November 16th and it looks like our CD will be Clo O'Connor. I am wondering if anyone has cruised with her as CD before and what there thoughts were. Thanks.
