cruisedreamin-gang Posted August 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Wondering what the weather will be like in Key West and Nassau in November. Trying to plan clothing and don't know if I should just pack all short and summer clothing or some pants too. How would you pack?

Trying to plan clothing and don't know if I should just pack all short and summer clothing or some pants too. How would you pack? We have been twice in "January" and it was in the low 80's.......:D I would definately pack summer clothes and maybe throw in some jeans and a light weight jacket just in case some weird cold front comes through. Have a great cruise!
MrFunInTheSun Posted August 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Basically same as Florida weather in Nassau. It's usually beautiful. One of the best months in Florida. Every year November is when I take my longer cruise and have always had the best weather throughout the Caribbean. Have a super cruise! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Chelleum Posted August 13, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2013 I took my first cruise last year in November and we had beautiful weather in all the islands we went too. It was a little windy but warm.

HarpHarp Posted August 13, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Wondering what the weather will be like in Key West and Nassau in November. Trying to plan clothing and don't know if I should just pack all short and summer clothing or some pants too. How would you pack? We travel often in November since it is our anniversary. The weather in the Bahamas and Florida can be iffy. I've been in both places in November when it's been 63 degrees & raining for a couple of days. On the other handm our wedding was 73 and sunny in NE Ohio:) No counting on the weather.
e150club Posted August 13, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Last year it was colder in Fla.52 deg. then it was in NY 54 deg. Nassau & Freeport were in the low 70's. That was about two weeks after Sandy. I was glad I had a light jacket in Fla.
Lovefuninthesun Posted August 13, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 13, 2013 It's still summer there (here in central Florida as well) -- shorts should be fine. Maybe a jacket for evening, just in case.

Rare CruisinCrow Posted August 13, 2013 #12 Share Posted August 13, 2013 We've cruised in November and it can be chilly if a cold front comes through. Our first November cruise, it was really strange to see people in sweatshirts. We were used to summer cruises. :) I would check the weather forecast right before your trip. Kind of a pain because it's hard to plan but the forecast really won't be accurate until 3 or 4 days out.
deborah grimes Posted August 13, 2013 #13 Share Posted August 13, 2013 We always cruise the week after Thanksgiving and it is soo nice. summer clothes is fine but bring a pair of long paints for getting off the ship the last day. It could be a little cool.
jbhcw Posted August 13, 2013 #14 Share Posted August 13, 2013 November is our favorite month to cruise..hurricane season is almost over:D and the weather is usually nice and warm! The coldest it's ever been on a cruise was Key West in January one year..we were there after sunset, and we all had jackets on...but it also snowed in NC that weekend we got home:eek:
WetToes Posted August 13, 2013 #15 Share Posted August 13, 2013 We cruised to the Bahamas over Thanksgiving once. Was warm. We brought a light jacket. Might have used it once or twice in the early morning.

vacruizer Posted August 13, 2013 #17 Share Posted August 13, 2013 80s in Key West and Nassau when we were there on a November cruise. We were pretty warm walking all over Key West. Bring a jacket and long pants, though... the day before we left the forecast for Jacksonville where we were sailing from changed and we had freeze warnings up overnight before the cruise and it was in the 50s during the day in Jacksonville. It's one of those times of year where a front can come through and you never know quite what you'll get.
echo Posted August 14, 2013 #18 Share Posted August 14, 2013 What about water temp in the Bahamas in Nov?
detroitlions Posted August 14, 2013 #19 Share Posted August 14, 2013 November and December are great time to cruise. I had hit and miss weather down to Panama a few days were rain a cold and the rest were perfect. I still think the main reason people like cruising in November is it is cheap as heck second reason is they think there will be less kids. For those people who complain about kids all the time I say go on HAL or CELEB or Princess no kids and a lot more money.
JaniceB Posted August 14, 2013 #20 Share Posted August 14, 2013 We have encounter brisk winds in the keys in November which tend to make it a little chilly.
WetToes Posted August 14, 2013 #21 Share Posted August 14, 2013 What about water temp in the Bahamas in Nov? We found them to be a bit chilly, others didn't. If you get past the initial 'wetting', and the sun is shining bright, it's not bad. Kids won't mind.
Warm Breezes Posted August 14, 2013 #22 Share Posted August 14, 2013 What about water temp in the Bahamas in Nov? We've always found it quite nice...but then we are used to Lake Michigan:D.
