trini_ras Posted October 19, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2013 What is the best choice to get to Miami International, for my wife and I. Will they take the same time? What about the cost?
Langley Cruisers Posted October 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2013 For a taxi, there is a flat rate of either $24 or $25 plus tip (both rates have been reported here) direct between MIA and the POM (no stops along the way). A shuttle bus service charges per person, so depends on the number in your party. Most just grab a cab - it's quick and easy. You certainly could share a cab with another person or couple as well, if desired.
CruiserBruce Posted October 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2013 As discussed here many times, taxi.
JohninDC Posted October 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Taxi - flat rate and the trip only takes about 15+ minutes (you'll be half way there before the shuttle van is filled up!). Good luck! :)
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 20, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Without a doubt for two people I would go with taxi over shuttle. Cost will be around the same if not cheaper and it would only be the two of you. Keith
bouhunter Posted October 20, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 20, 2013 Taxi's are almost always cost competitive with shuttles, and much more convenient. Just get in a go, no reservation required, no waiting around for others. They are fast, convenient and there when you need them:)

TIA Yes - you may need to wait a minute or so as others take the sedans; the good news is that the price is the same! :D
eandj Posted October 23, 2013 #11 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Stick with the cabs. You might see a few van /shuttle drivers walking the cab line saying they are leaving immediately for the airport. For only $10. Don't leave your line. That's how shuttle drivers lure passengers. They charge per person and won't leave until they have a full van. This is a practice done at POM and PE.
