Thank you Gordon, I am looking for this info also! We really need a picture taken facing the cabin(s) 3856 3858 3860. I just want to make sure that I can walk straight from 3858 to 3856 without the hallway being blocked by a firewall or something built around the escalator. Tyler80 posted that you don't always see the elevator since they usually have it closed off with fire doors.

Thank you so much for taking the time out from your vacation to do so! I hope you are having a great time!! :)

Looks like you have your own short corridor.

My deck plan was wrong and I was in the wrong place.

3858 and 3860 are to the left. 3856 is straight ahead and to the right. Yes, that one room is probably odd shaped due to the escalator. The escalator is used only in port. The entry to the escalator is not passed your cabins. You enter from the elevator lobby.

Hello everyone! I will be cruising on the Allure 12/15 and I'm so excited to follow everyone's posts from this week! :)

General question: Which locations are open for lunch on port days? My mom and I have cruised in the past and we plan on spending most of our time on the ship. However, I believe the MDR is only open for lunch on sea days? We prefer avoiding the buffet as we like to be pampered with "restaurant" food :o

No holiday decorations yet. Was on 12/1/10 & last year at this time & remember the tree in the Promenade.

Do you know if any holiday deco's will be up by the 12/15 cruise?

Hi Stefani. I will also be on the 12/15 sailing! We have some great people on our roll call. I am also one that spends most of the time on the ship rather than doing excursions.

Thank you so much for all of the trouble!!!!! :)

I think the RCCL deckplans are wrong. On the deckplans it looks like 3856 and 3858 are separated by the escalator which doesn't seem to be the case looking at your photos.

I just want to make sure I have everything clear. If you are looking at the cabins... 3856, 3858 and 3860 are next to each other and the escalator (boxed in) is to the right of them?? I think the picture you posted is of 3858 and 3860 (I see the number 3858 clearly but not 3860) with the escalator to the right of them? Which cabin is the odd shaped cabin then?

Sorry for no posts yesterday. I tried to connect but was unsuccessful. Checked today and all my 60 minutes were used. I know I didn't use that much, and I was careful to logoff. I don't know why the minutes were used, but I just bit the bullet and bought the unlimited package for 180 minus 20 % diamond discount. I'll try to catch up postings.

Up around 6:00 this morning and saw evidence of Christmas.

Not long later the tree was up in the promenade and they were hanging snowflakes. be6y3uba.jpg

You were standing adjacent to one of my best friends and his mom. I caught them on the Port Everglades web cam and they told me to look for them next to the flag.

I overheard them on the phone telling someone (you) they were next to the flag. I display the flag whenever leaving a US port. I wave it at the Coast Guard boat that escorts us out of Port Everglades.

Internet - slow doesn't begin to describe it.....

We arrived in Cozumel this morning and were followed by Navigator of the Seas which docked next to us. Norwegian Dawn was next and docked at the pier in downtown San Miguel. Next was Carnival Magic which docked at the Carnival pier next to the International Pier. Two more NCL ships, Norwegian Pearl (docked downtown) and Norwegian Jewel (docked next to Carnival Magic) arrived.

My mission for today was to replenish my supply of Mexican Vanilla. I had used the last of my supply for Thanksgiving a couple weeks ago. Los Cinco Solas is my baseline, but I decided to get additional brands to compare them. The main one I was looking for was Tontacs which we found in the Forum shops. I picked up 2 bottles and the clerk was going to charge over $13 USD for each. I asked if they were 2 for $20. She asked if I was on a ship. When I said yes, she reduced the price to $20 for 2. When I got back to the pier, I found it at several shops for $9 for 1 liter. One shop wanted $20 for the 1 liter bottle. It pays to check around.

Two things to remember when shopping for Vanilla. Make sure it says no coumarin and that there are no Tonka beans in the ingredients. Also, make sure that vanilla is an ingredient. Yes, I once got a bottle that did not list vanilla. I have not used it for cooking, just for an aromatic.

I also wanted a magnet and pin from the Hard Rock Café, but had seen that the café was closed. When we arrived, we saw a big Hard Rock Guitar at a new shopping center across the street from the International Pier. Also, when we went into town, the old café was still open. Unfortunately, they did not have a guitar magnet bottle opener or any pins. They did have a Hard Rock logo magnet with Cozumel, so I bought that. When we got back to the pier, I looked for the Hard Rock Café there, but it is not open yet. In fact, I did not find any trace of it other than the sign.

I went to Los Cinco Solas and got vanilla. I did not buy it at the store in town so I wouldn't have to carry it around. However, the port store ran out of the 1 liter bottles. They do have another store called Island Outfitters, and they had 3 1 liter bottles, so I got them.

Back on the ship, the 3D movie was Man of Steel, the newest Superman movie. My son and I opted for dinner in Windjammer as neither of us was particularly interested in the MDR menu tonight. We were seated in Windjammer and had a nice dinner from the buffet. I was surprised about how many people were eating in the Windjammer. Having staff find seats is a great idea. I hate to wander around looking for a table.

After dinner, we had a family picture taken at the Christmas tree in the Promenade and went to see the Blue Planet show. I really don't know how to describe it. They had singers and dancers (from the Chicago cast), acrobats and arielists (from the OceanAria cast), great sets and staging. It was hard to believe that they could do all that on a ship. And it is having a bit of motion. I highly recommend making reservations and seeing the show.

By the way, we saw Captain Johnny on his motorcycle when we left the ship this morning. Just to be clear, he was on the pier, not riding the motorcycle on the ship.:D

Navigator of the Seas left before us as she has to get back to Galveston. We pulled out during dinner. There has been a little bit of rolling tonight. Not much, but it is basically the first motion we have experienced this cruise. It has been smooth and steady.

Most of the snowflakes in the Royal Promenade are now lit. There is a Christmas tree by the Windjammer. But still no decorations on Boardwalk or Central Park.

Sea day tomorrow, then Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday. Too soon. Too soon.

Yes you can use your gold card for Starbucks. They can't scan the iPhone app but can punch in your number if you have it. Much easier to bring the card.

Haven't been to the CL yet, but they are using Dazzles for suite/D+/Pinnacle happy hour.

Tomorrow in Labadee I'm planning on spending the day at Barefoot Beach. Don't have any plans for Falmouth. Might just enjoy the ship. Cozumel I'm planning on going to Nachi.

First time I've used the suites sun deck. Comfy chairs & I like how they bring around cold washclothes/fruit etc.

Quick question, we are sailing for the second time on Oasis 1/25/13 and have a JR Suite. Is the suite deck just for GS and higher? Have had the GS in the past but never used the suite deck. When following MrFunInTheSun he was able to visit the deck with a suite guest. Thanks!

Thanks so much for sharing your week! It's been fun following along with you!

One more week and we sail!! YEAH!

Sorry to hear so many slow internet troubles lately ... it definitely makes it difficult to remain connected!

Enjoy your last day at sea!!
